Congratulations man, I hope it wasn't that hard for you.

My cousin has been trying to pass the Califronia bar for the past few years, but he has never really been that serious about, seeing as how he has a great teaching job.

What really scares me is that in the statistics for the July exam, almost nobody from Temple University who was taking the exam for the second or later time passed. (TU does have much higher than average first time pass rate of about 85%, which just makes me feel worse because that means I'm part of the 15% that sucks.)

Dude, don't look at the stats. From what BAR examiner told me it is actually easier to pass in February than it is in July if you put in the time to study (something that can be really hard when you work full time). He said the reason the pass rates are much lower in February is because most of the people taking it are 2nd timers who either don't study enough or are working full time and can't put the time that it requires to study for it.

The last thing you want to do is get discouraged. If it helps, here is a website of a girl that failed the BAR the first time she took it and studied like a madwoman and totally aced the exam in February.

Congrats counselor. I found out I passed the Mississippi bar exam on September 23rd. The results were delayed because of Katrina, and those were some of the most unpleasant days of my life. I could hardly eat or sleep. From starting to study, to taking the exam those 3 days, to waiting for the results--probably the most unpleasant experience of my life. I literally cannot imagine what I would have done if I failed.
