Completely ignorant on the market, I decided to shoot the box I had of federal 9mm micro. Now it turns out they're impossible to find. I dun goofed. I guess I'll buy some generic 9mm HP for my carry for a while now...
Fenix FXP defensive ammunition leaves nothing to chance. Manufactured using factory new brass and the best projectiles from Hornady, Berry's and others with an enhanced quality inspection suitable for ensuring 100% functionality in critical applications.
Nope. Self defense ammo is specifically designed for defense. You shouldn't use range ammo in self defense. It's less effective and more dangerous in terms of collateral damage.
I was under the impression that this board was full of gun nuts. So I thought more people would understand.

Certainly hollow points or other special ammo are going to be better at anti-personnel applications, but I think you can relax unless you live a similar life to John Wick. That’s kind of like saying well my baseball bat is no good now because it isn’t used by the pros. Pretty sure you can still cave someone’s skull in. If you were that worried about per round efficacy you wouldn’t have a 9 in the first places. A 9 is a an empty the clip center mast weapon.

Oh. So you're one of those 10mm nuts. 40 smith and weak huh? It's funny no matter how much this myth is debunked, people still think slightly more powerful handgun ammo is much more effective.

For somebody who owns so many firearms you sure do buy into the big caliber bs hype. I just want to be able to buy decent self-defense rounds. None of which are in stock anywhere.
Thank you for the links guys. I'll look into them.
Not sure where I own so many firearms, certainly never said I did. You’re the one that seems concerned about stopping power and ammo. Personally I have a modified Mini 14, Glock 19 gen 4 and a Steyr M9. Both the sidearms are 9mm. That’s not a lot of guns. I am ex-military though so I’ve had some pretty significant experience with a wide variety of small arms.
There’s been a national shortage on ammo for awhile, especially 9mm. I was lucky enough to get 2 boxes but 100 each. Normal times they run about 25-30 bucks a pop (no pun intended).
OP just outta curiosity is this for carry or home defense
