Being a 31 year old gamer..i had my fun times with the big N but lately they just dont seem the same like they use to. yes they still got some top AAA titles coming from their 1st party dev teams but other then that..there isnt much for their systems. Heck..last i heard is EAsports isnt supporting revolution, not thats a back breaker but its another slap in the face with their systems.

Mario,zelda,metroid,etc are all great games and im sure they will be on the REV but its time for them to start considering going 3rd party like Sega did.

My cube collects massive dust now days, i dont plan on buying the REV because of my last two expriences with N64 and Gamecube..if Nintendo dont come out with a BIG BANG with REV..they might as well call it a day and close up shop as far as making console hardware.

As long as Ninty keeps making money why should they go third party? It makes no sense to go third party when the company is quite profitable. Now if they start to see a turn for the worst in the future going third party might be the solution, or it might not.

This just sort of brings me back to Sega, everyone thought Sega would do well as a third party but in reality they haven't done that great. Probably because the Sega franchises we knew and loved weren't quite as great as the years went by as we thought. Sales wise new iterations of old titles didn't quite have the magic people thought they would.

The question becomes if Nintendo was forced to go this route would they have games that would sell in large quantities on PS3 or Xbox 360? Who knows?

Nintendo won't go 3rd party because they are not even trying to be number 1. They make all their projected sales, make all the stock holders happy, they are doing actually what they planned on doing....

Only Sony and MS are even fighting...

True, the question becomes how much will the PSP eat into possible Nintendo profits? What I would love to know is what percentage of Nintendo profit is from consoles and what percentage of profit is from handhelds? You would think most of the profit they bring in is from handhelds, but that could be wrong for all I know.
