IMO of course. What's scary is that I heard on the radio this morning that Britney Spears may also come out with her own version!!! This comes hot on the heels of her "My Prerogative" remake (which I refuse to discuss any further).

Ms. Spears... if you remake this song you better watch out.

Smashing Pumpkins kicks the bejeezus out of the original. Fleetwood Mac's version is FUCKING SHIT. Hell, the Dixie Chicks' rendition is better than that.

SP's _arrangement_ of the song kills the original. However, Billy's vocals are reaallllyy bad, perhaps his worst studio vocal performance.

"Time makes you older even children GEEIIITT OOLLLDEER." I mean it's so soft and gentle, and then when he says "get" his voice instantly sounds like a combination of a cat and a car alarm. It's pretty bad.

Pisces Iscariot rocks. F*ck Landslide, it's all about Starla. The 5+ minute solo is CRAZY and it's so layered I realize it could never be done live, but he still being able to actually write that and execute it so flawlessly is really something. It's a sea of extremely melodic, psychedelic, and powerful guitar solos. I love it.

landslide - was recorded at the bbc - not my favorite place to record. they are still in 1971 but ted the producer man was very nice. the recording is way too hissy and we're sorry but it is the fault of the bbc, whose financial raping of us to use this song and sandoz almost didn't make putting these songs out possible. but it is here.
