I've seen Breakin' All Tha Rules.
I've seen The Jamie Foxx Show.
I've seen Collateral.

But ever since I've seen Ray, I will never doubt Jamie Foxx again.

Granted, Jamie Foxx has been, characteristically, poorly casted. Therefore, he's never had a chance to shine. That doesn't make up for the fact that he's hasn't ever acted impressively. But in Ray, he's absolutely amazing. Somehow, he managed to do the entire movie AS A BLIND RAY CHARLES. He pulled off the demeanor of Ray Charles perfectly. He was the reason that the movie is great. I could see him being the young Ray Charles. It's phenomenal.

If you guys haven't had the chance to see Ray, do so. If any of you people hate Jamie Foxx, as I did, see Ray. Prepare to have everything you know about this actor torn apart.

I've always liked Jamie Foxx a lot. He's funny as hell and seems like a real smart guy at the same time. I seen bits of Ray meanwhile from previews and i think it was him on Oprah and some footage shown on there. It looks like it could be an amazing movie. I'll definetly find the oppurtunity to see this

Ray is a decent movie with great acting from Foxx.
The movie's goes from a man's struggle to overcome blindness and become great to a man descending into jerkdom and struggling with drugs. It ends too all-of-a-sudden and doesn't focus at all on his life after recovery from drugs.
Too many loose ends and a cop out ending that has to resort to a still frame and text telling us the moral.

It's too long, too.

This is so true. My point is that Foxx is now a good actor, in my mind.

Except the length. Perfect length.

It's really suprising what a good actor he's become, I never imagined that while watching In Living Color. And also John Leguizamo too, when did that happen?
