I played through most of the first and about half of the second. And after seeing what the new consoles supposedly will be capable of, these two games NEED to be remade (hopefully by someone with same level of talent that made the first 2). Imagining reliving some of those moments with that kind of power almost makes me bust in my pants.

Jumping around in the treetop village. Seeing a just below film quality raptor, sighting him with the Eraser railgun and watching him melt into a bloody pile of ash. Would be so awesome.

A similar game, maybe, but things need to be changed around, finding keys isn't fun. It isn't 1997 anymore.

And neither is poorly executed platforming with checkpoints a ton aways. Despite liking the 1st, I quit about half-way through when you hit that endless series of platform jumps in the sky. I think the one time I made it past, I died immediately afterwards and could never bring myself to doing it again.

I remember that part, just before the first boss. The trick is to rely entirely on your map for jumping.
