Thinking about buying the Anniversary edition. Already got SP edition on PS4 and Switch but man, Skyrim on PS5 wets my boots too much.

Some mods I used on console:

- Unofficial patch
- That mod where you start in a random city (forget whats it called)
- 4k mods (textures and weather effects)
- Unlimited weight carrying (I think you grab a ring off someone and your weight carrying goes to 10,000 lbs)
- Cheesed it with unlimited sprint so I can run from point to point

Beware: There's a number of map mods. Some look good too. BUT, one of them bombed my system no matter which order I put it in. It'd freeze my game. It was one which looked slick colour coding each type of symbol. So I just skipped all map mods.

I played through (well not the main story actually) it most recently in VR and had a ton of fun. Magic is my favorite in VR compared to bow on flat.

I'm playing it again too! So many quests I missed. I never did the thieves guild stuff so it is pretty great run. Companions will be next. Then the story and dlc!

Are you modding it at all? I just installed the SE and want to play it modded (for the first time), but I'm completely overwhelmed as to what mods to get, or how to install them properly.

I'm getting an error in Vortex that SKSE is fucked up, so I'm already half-inclined to say fuck it.

Playing it in VR. It's pretty fun with the Wabbajack mod list. Haven't gotten to the point yet when I stopped playing the original release. I remember vaguely at the time that there was massive stutter on my 8800 gts? Got annoyed trying to change CFG files to make Whiterun not lag. I probably played quite a bit but not the Thieves Guild quest lines.

I thought about downloadin this the other day.. I stop myself because I worry that it will consume my life

Kinda janky but it's still as comfy as a game can get. Have fun!

I too never finished this game. Didn't enjoy the main story but the exploration, sidequests and world building made it for me.

VR is the way to go with this one - popped back last week just because. How immersive it really was - a game ahead of its time.
