Ideas for Pokemon DS

In Nintendogs you can train your dogs to respond to voice commands.
What if, in Pokemon DS, you had to train the pokemon you captured to do the same thing? Then, during battles, you would have to react on the fly by spitting out voice commands for your pokemon to follow.

(and when voice isn't practical, there would be touch screen commands. Still, combat would be on the fly instead of being turn based)

It would make the game more like the show and, to me, that's a very good thing. It would make multiplayer battles more interesting, as well.

And What if there was also a mode where you could pet your pokemon and have it respond? I think I would be inclined to purchase a game like that. :)

I like this idea. As gimmicky as it may be, I'd have fun, and the sub-12 year old Pokemon fans would probably experience their first orgasm.

I think nintendogs is being released so they don't have to do all that shit in a perfectly good RPG game. Or maybe they could just make Hey You Pikachu 2 and let you choose from more than 1 pokemon. But putting that stuff in a proper Pokemon game would suck serious ass.

You stole this idea from my brain. Bottom screen: items, stats, commands. Top screen: 3D real time battle.

I prefer the straight forward TMs and HMs. Having to develop them through use would be welcome (a la Grandia). having more than 4 available for use would be welcome as well.

I'm not into virtual pet type games: Seaman, Hey You Pikachu, etc. So, I don't like that part of your idea. :(

Knowing Nintendo, Pokemon DS will probably be a port of the first Pokemon Stadium... I think it would be kinda silly if you can summon your Pokemon like... "PIKACHU! I CHOOSE YOU!!!". I never really played much of any of the Pokemon games for some reason... never got around to it.

Another tought is when catching pokemon with pokeballs, you actually having to do a certain move in the touchscreen in order to successfully accomplishing it (aka fishing). It would make loosing elusive pokemon more fair, so to speak.

I also think Paper Mario will be great (PLEASE, make it happen Nintendo!) the action command on battles could be all sorts of awesome.

Both awesome ideas...

The virtual pet stuff could be incorporated into the training. If your Pokemon does a move well you could pet him or give him a treat if he messes up you could smack him. How you treat your Pokemon would shape their personality and how they behave in battles.
