If you really think about it, Prime Gaming actually has the best value

1. I believe very few people buy Amazon Prime for just its gaming offering, the games are more like free bonus goodies for your existing Amazon shopping/video subscription.

2. Unlike other services, you get to keep all the games you claim (mostly on GOG or Epic), as opposed to just being able to access the licenses while the sub is active.

3. The lineup each month is actually of superb quality. You are not getting latest and greatest, of course, but there will probably always be several interesting ones to you among the 20+ offering.

Take a look at their past three months offering:

If you're a PC gamer who doesn't care about the launcher wars, yes, it is really good and tends to outdo PS Plus on it's best months.

Usually the only things I redeem are the Gog codes. I think this is the first month that I've seen a microsoft store game on there (Doom eternal) so I grabbed that too.

I didn't know about this when I signed up for Prime and wouldn't sign up just for the gaming content, so it was a nice surprise when I found out about it. I have been finding Prime more than pays for itself with discounts on things you were going to buy anyway, so my experience so far has been that yes, it is free, if you're willing to shop at Amazon enough.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
If you don't already have Amazon Prime (or want it), then I'd say that Humble Choice is usually the better value.

Prime Gaming is the best value!!! . . . proceeds to show how they're offering Suicide Squad.

btw, best value is epic games. Zero money down, Zero sub, free games.

I'm a little triggered that they literally call it free games. Prime is $140 a year.
I totally agree with you on the 'free' part, but I have to say the amount of money I save on p&p from amazon and the speed it gets here (uk here, same day or next day) that it might as well be free after my first months custom, and that doesn't even include the streaming service or the games.

Speaking of value, I have some spare keys if anyone wants em, just let me know which one you'd like:

DOOM Eternal UWP

BioShock Remastered GOG

Tomb Raider Legend GOG

Hive Jump 2: Survivors GOG

Ghost Song GOG

Moonlighter GOG

GreedFall - Gold Edition GOG

Do they still do the add-ons for games? It was nice getting R6 renown boosters and purple skins in various games but it seems like they've since pivoted to full releases.

It's definitely a really eclectic mix of benefits.
  • Monthly games
  • Shipping
  • 1 Twitch sub
  • Prime steaming video
  • Prescription savings card
  • One Medical Access
It's not for me, but my wife orders from Amazon daily so she has it. I refuse to use it. I don't know if I've ordered anything from Amazon in several years. I was surprised by the amount of retailers that offer free shipping with no strings attached. I totally get how some people can maximize use of it though.

Also, family share, so my sisters gets free shipping as well off my membership.

It is more free than the "free" games you get with Game Pass since if this post is correct, it is not tied to a subscription (yes, it requires a sub to obtain, but not to continue playing).

Yeah its been pretty great the last few months. DOOM Eternal this month is pretty awesome. UK offerings looks quite a bit worse than the US one though.

Its a shame they plaster so many unskippable (and long) ads in their video service.

GoG is a great platform and DRM free. However Epic or MS store are 🤮🤮🤮

Prime, here in Italy used to be 30€ a year up until 3 years ago, now it's 50€ and I still don't think that it's worth its money - not even with Prime video included since its content is 99% shite.

140 you say ? Loooooord 🤣😂

It's a pretty amazing deal in europe, considering I only pay 50€ a year for prime, which I only got for prime video, so all the stuff on prime gaming is a pure bonus for me.

If it's not on Steam or least Microsoft store, i don't want even for free. Thankfully the Doom Eternal key is surprisingly microsoft store.

I think part of the reason a lot of people don't notice or care is because the games are distributed across a few different platforms and none of them are Steam.
Thiiiiis. I’d be ok with it not being Steam if they were all keys for the same platform. But they are just randomly distributed between a bunch of platforms that I rarely use.

1. You’re paying for these. They are not free.
2. These drops are random, you have no idea what to get versus you just go and buy your game of choice.
3. kinda personal, I like all my games on Steam

Also, you can get cash-back Amazon Prime credit cards. I get more than enough cash back to pay for the subscription. Free and faster shipping is the main bonus, though. Granted, I order a lot from amazon.

They actually offered something for Switch once. "Mom Hid My Game!". Was hoping there'd be more where that came from but nope :(

If you use buy frequently from Amazon, you'll make back it in shipping +some. They keep reminding me that I spent $150 in shipping last year. I am reluctant to sign up for some reason. I guess I'm thinking my spending spree will calm down and I will lose.

This free shit stuff tactic is just a bait to lure in, once they got you they will show their real greedy face and control you, same thing happened with Gamepass.

People really never learn.
