wtf? those prices. argh! I can't imagine paying for than $39.99 or on the rare ocassion $49.99 for a game and that's in canadian dollars. Usually futureshop has their games at $10 off on day 1. Next gen is going to suck. I hope these prices don't stay up forever.

It would be nice if IGN actually looked at the games critically ala 1up, and not just regurgitated the PR stuff we've known about forever.

But as a tidy list of what should be out at or near launch, I guess it's fine.

Other than the DOA delay, you can pretty much go by the listings that various stores (EB, GS etc) have. As a matter a fact, the DOA delay is already reflected on various store lists.

Kameo's already out as per the list and when I stopped in EB earlier to pick it up the manager assured me that the list is accurate and reflect when the various items should be in stores. (well, that store heh)

I doubt we'll ever get an official list. I think that these games will just show on shelves next week or the week after like Kameo showed up this week.

PC version of games have always been cheaper then the console versions.

Yeah, but that's not why that's the case this time. Xbox 360 third party games are almost all $59.99. It's the "new price" of first-run software for next gen. You want in, you're paying $10 more per game. Only Microsoft's games (because they don't have to pay their own license fees) are at the "normal" price of $49.99.

This price difference really has nothing to do with the way things used to be. It's about the way things are going to be.

I laugh at the $60 price tags for stuff like Tony Hawk, Gun, and NHL 2K6. Others on the list should definetely be the same price as the MS stuff as well.
