IGN Cube will have RE4 review Friday morning

I'm quite capable of beating off on my own. I don't need to read twelve pages written while Matt is stroking it.

Predictions:

IGN - 9.6
Gamespot: 8.7

YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST

I was going to say that ; ;

I hope Matt and Greg Review it , cuz they know what to do ..

Damn that Shoe$maker 9.1 eh ? ><

Just from the hype the the word from the press thusfar, I don't see this game getting anything below 9's from major publications and online sites. It's billed as the second coming of the survival horror genre (Hey, if it can raise my interest even a little bit given how I don't like the survival horror genre, then it is doing something right).

IGN will drop the score for lack of strafing and little things like that, I don't think 9.9 is likely.

I reckon...9.7

I honestly like GameSpy's reviews more than IGN. I look forward to that one. And I think GameSpot will get a 9 at least, I haven't heard anyone who's played the actual game dislike it. I think it must be a much more cohesive experience than is hinted at in the demo.

oh, this is coming out next week, huh? i'd better play that demo and decide whether to cancel my preorder.

Damn, the thread sould have ended there. That was a pretty good high note, heh heh.

Considering the political implications of this game concerning Nintendo and Capcom's deal scoring this game any less than a 9.5 would be a hard thing to consider for IGN Cube.

when does it come out?

Ships on the 11th, arrives on the 12th (next Wednesday).

It surprised me how many preorders we have for this game, and that most of them are the collector's tin.

Where do you work Ani?

How do pre-orders compare to other big games? (GT4 etc)

I don't know, but I imagine GT4 has more. I only know the GC section real well because we're supposed to push RE4 hard if we want to get more hours for next week, and I've had a couple people come in to pay off their game or upgrade to the collector's tin. If I remember correctly, and it is 9 resos per page, then we have about 30 for RE4, probably 2 or 3 more. Zelda is more like 4 pages + 4 extras on a fifth page. Star Fox is on 1.5 pages, and DK:JB has its own page.

GT4 is something our store is really pushing. I wouldn't be suprised if we have about 6-7 pages worth.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I work at Gamestop.

Wait you're already taking pre-orders for Zelda? AND it has more orders than RE4?

They're taking pre-orders too... The date is 3 -15 - 2005. God I wish that was true. :(

Matt wont score it higher than Metroid Prime(his darling). 9.7 is the most logical score here.

Matt's RE scores so far:

REmake 9.0
RE0 = 8.2

Yeah, I was helping out our store, so I preordered Zelda. My manager asked why I didn't preorder it yet since I told her I'm a huge Zelda fan. When I saw the book I was shocked to see how many reservations we already had (most I'm guessing due to the Nintendo guy who got me hired in the first place). Our store is relatively quiet, so 36 reservations is a pretty good number.

I didn't think Star Fox: Assault or RE4 would be as popular though.

We're taking preorders for Fire Emblem (computer says 2/2/2005... which is really odd for a placeholder date).
