IGN Cube will have RE4 review Friday morning

It deserves it completely. Sadly, I think the websites will complain about how they can't strafe, and then drop the final score a few points.

And just how would they be wrong to do that? Oh wait, I forgot, Nintendo is infallible and if they said strafe in this game would be unnecessery, we must all be wrong. We must repent for disagreeing with Nintendo and enact harakiri..

Man, people never hesitate to put words into others' mouths.

Could be he really likes the game itself. Demos are out there.

The demo is going to help sell extra copies. Hopefully Nintendo will make a zelda 2005 demo in the same vein as RE4. I doubt it though.

From what I've seen, the demo didn't really help as much as the stuff that comes in the tin. I asked a kid on Tuesday if he'd like to upgrade (and it's $10 more- that's ($60 for a game) a lot when you're 12-14), and he said he would.

hmm ok. I thought the demo could boost a lot since it has recieved positive critism, and not just from Nintendo fans.

Well we're all trying to sell it at our store, to get more hours, so whenever someone asks about it, or eyes the GC section/kiosk, I bring it up with enthusiasm. We don't have anymore demo discs left, which is a bummer. I found that out Tuesday.

Oh well, the final copy arrives very soon ;)

Anihawk, do you know if the artbook, cell, and soundtrack are coming bundled inside the tin or anything? Like you guys didn't get that stuff to hand out to preorders right? I just want to make sure when I pick up my reserve I get all the stuff coming to me. They didn't have anymore demo discs when I put my money down.

Same thing happen to me. They didn't have any demo discs left, just got my reserve slip and walked out. But I do know that the artbook and cell are part of the tin, so you will be getting that if you got the Collector's Edition. No idea on the soundtrack though... :(

12:01 EST or Pacific?

And some areas will start selling the game Monday at midnight. My EB said last week they would if they got another 25 preorders for it, and that even if they didnn't they might just do a midnight sale anyways.

Call your gamestore though. Some already have it in stock and will be selling it on the 11th, not the 12th.

The new (and last) GMR arrived in the offices today, and as one editor or another revealed already, the game received a 10/10.

Well, first of all, Capcom developed RE 4 so it really doesn't have much to do with Nintendo. I too wouldn't mind strafing, but just playing the demo, there are hardly any places where I found it absolutely necessary. I found it easier just to hit Down + B to make a quick turn, then proceed to run to a better position. Also, seeing as how you can shoot the weapons out of your enemies hands, and out of the air, that furthur eliminates the need for strafing, and when the enemies get close to you, then grab you so strafing wouldn't help you there either.

His dad was with him. His dad put down the cash on the original preorder.

What's your sales prediction of this game through January? Can it reach 300K? If I am not misstaken, no GC game has sold more than 200K in it's first month last year. I could be wrong.

Pokemon Colosseum and FFCC did. Sonic Heroes may have as well. I think this game will do 150k in its first month.

you'd have to include that magazine that gave it a 10/10 as well

No I wouldn't. GMR isn't known for blowing things radically out of proportion. IGN is. And they constantly do shit like this. I didn't see the GMR editors on here or any other forum going, "OMG IN FIVE DAYS SIX HOURS FORTY-ONE MINUTES AND 13 SECONDS THE NEW ISSUE WILL BE IN YOUR MAILBOX AND IT HAS THE MOST AWESOME ANNOUNCEMENT EVER IT WILL CHANGE THE WORLD," with the news being something completely ludicrous. Though maybe I just... Didn't see them do it.

Matt wont score it higher than Metroid Prime(his darling). 9.7 is the most logical score here.

Except that, Matt didn't score MP a 9.8, he gave it a 10. Fran gave it the 9.8, Matt in his collection has a 10.0 next to prime.
