magine you're driving through the mountains at a heightened elevation and your ears clog up. You don't realize it, but you're hearing isn't as crisp and clear as it should be. Now imagine you're back on flat land and you've just yawned. You know that feeling that overtakes you when your ears open up and sound suddenly becomes crisper, clearer and louder? Apply that same formula to a game's visuals and you've begun to understand the jump from low to high-resolution graphics. Turok 2 looks brilliant in low-resolution mode, but once gamers have seen a dinosaur gruesomely explode in high-resolution detail, well, there's simply no going back.

:lol :lol :lol

But Turok 2 sucked on high-res, the framerate was horrendous. Low-res smoothness all the way!!!

Shadowman rocked the high-rez. Higher resolution + smoother framerate? It's on bitches!

What the f*ck kind of analogy was that?

"Have you ever picked up your parents glasses and tried them on? Remember how blurry everything appears. Picture that as low resolution. Remember how the instant you removed them, everything cleared up? That's high resolution." That's a relevant analogy. And to think, the entire IGN staff contributed to that gem!
