OF GAMING NEWS AND DOWNLOADS
Acquisition Enhances IGN's Leadership Position in the Digital Distribution
of Game Content
BRISBANE, Calif. - February 9, 2005 -- IGN Entertainment, a leading Internet
media company serving the games and entertainment enthusiast markets, today
announced that it has acquired 3D Gamers (
http://www.3dgamers.com), an
online pioneer in the delivery of gaming news and file downloads. The
acquisition increases the reach of IGN's audience of game enthusiasts,
and when added to IGN's existing portfolio of successful free, subscription
and pay-per-download services, further strengthens the web's leading game
file distribution network.

3D Gamers reached a worldwide audience of 2.0 million in November 2004,
and the combined, unduplicated audience for IGN Entertainment and 3D Gamers
that same month would have totaled 29.2 million, according to comScore
Media Metrix(TM)*. 3D Gamer's addition to IGN Entertainment's portfolio
will also increase the size of IGN's young male audience, as 90% of the
3D Gamers audience are males, and 75% are between the ages of 14 and 34.
