Cube may not have the power of PS2, or the online glimmer of the Xbox, but it certainly knows how to show gamers a good time using innovation, simplicity in design, and inviting gameplay.

I really don't get why some people thought this game was so great. The plot, dialogue, and quests were all subpar by Bioware standards (though still excellent by RPG standards), but the combat was terrible. I was shocked that the same developer who brought us the deep, tactical, multifaceted fights of Baldur's Gate 2 made a combat system that was boring real-time hack and slash with no semblance of game balance.

And there were tons of other great Xbox exclusives this year. Phantom Dust immediately springs to mind.

Hey I finished it and enjoyed it. A solid 7. Not a 9.9 GOTY for the Xbox which had a pretty good lineup. With that score it has a good chance of being overall GOTY *shudder*

Different studios made all of those games. All under the Sony umbrella, but vastly different operations. Could Sony be considered the best publisher for PS2? Absolutely. -Okay, got it. Wario Ware Twisted is a better action game than Gunstar Super Heroes.
-FFIV is not a better RPG than Pokemon Emerald, Mario Tennis, or Fire Emblem. And that's despite FFIV having loads of nostalgic value for me due to being my first Final Fantasy game, the first RPG I owned (I played Dragon Warrior at a friend's house), the first game I bought for my SNES (since SMW came packed-in), and the first game I bought with my own money.
-Treasure shouldn't win the award for Best Developer if they only made one game, regardless of how good it is.


DS:
-Tony Hawk and Wario Ware aren't action games.
-Mario and Luigi and Animal Crossing aren't adventure games.
-If Mario Kart won the best use of the second screen (understandable), then Castlevania should have at least gotten into the runner-up category like M&L2.
