Playstation 3! Amazing! About 20 minutes long, but most of it is still speculation

Biggest points I've heard so far:

-Talk amongst developers is that there isn't a huge power difference between Xbox 360 and PS3

-Assassins may be a PS3 launch title. UBI Montreal has been developing this game since Sands of Time has been done. WW and TTT were both collaberative projects while they continued to work on this game.

Listening to this it sounds like they know as much about the Playstation 3 as we do.
 
Seriously, I can't wait to get the Feb PlayStation meeting over with. So much speculation and hearsay, can't wait to things are cleared up.
 
Speaking of viral marketing, the podcast does admit that companies send up people to certain formats to talk up games. Mentions how UBI has people on various forums talking up Assassins. But NOT AT GAF. Bad move UBI.
 
This podcast reminds me of an audio version of their IGN 2005 in Review video feature. In both of these projects, a verrrrrrrry slick Aaron Boulding moderates the discussion.

Definitely a different style than what we do here at 1UP. ;)

We did have one, and he ate a banstick for being completely unsubtle about his marketing.
 
Why would they do that to us, people that talk on boards are the hardest of the hardcore.

There was a quote someone grabbed from IGN's board of a guy talking about no matter what year Assassians was released in it'd be the best game that year. He admitted to working at UBI but said that had nothing to do with it, the game would just be that good.

UBI has been the best publisher this gen. That was easy to assume. I already have the game reserved, knowing next to nothing about it, except that it's going to be like Thief

If IGN is right, that there isn't much a difference between the console according to devs, would blu ray be enough to pay extra, especialy if the PS3 doesnt have a conhesive online program??

Not in my book! Looks like the PS3 is gonna be chillin' in the online ghetto for a few more years.

Multiplatform stuff will look basically the same on both systems, and only the exclusive ground up stuff will show any power difference. Like I said a long time ago, it'll come down to the talent of the developers and not the system specs as both 360 and PS3 will be pretty close.
