9.5!

This sequel is one of the most original, creative and fun games to ever hit the Game Boy Advance, and has the potential to land a spot in the list of Greatest Games Ever Conceived.

Built into every cart is two-fold technology: a gyroscopic sensor that detects when the system is being rotated clockwise or counterclockwise. Coupled with this sensor is a rumble-style motor that enables the minigame designers to offer physical feedback in their challenges. The rumble itself adds to the overall presentation, and is no gimmick -- the motor has varying styles of feedback, offering console style vibration, as well as mechanical "clicking" to emulate, for example, dialing a rotary phone or turning a musicbox crank, two tasks that, coincidentally, are included in WarioWare Twisted.

Anyone read the big interview with this team in EDGE? Good stuff, very in depth. Made working at Nintendo seem very oppressive though.

Yeah, I read it but why "oppressive". They got to fool around and create their own characters and mini games. Maybe your talking about how lots of their mini games got denied.

It seemed like they got squeezed and had to release the GC version and Touched! before they were ready. They confirm that pretty much. But the "oppressive" part is how there's always this watching over the shoulder concern when interviewing Nintendo employees. How they seem somewhat shackled by the IP's and can never talk very much about their own desires, the company, etc. It's always so surface driven unless your name is Miyamoto. I'm not saying that those standards don't hold in many industries, just as far as the gameing industry they seem to much more at Nintendo. I've thought that in the past but the EDGE interviewer really keyed in on it as well.

All year long people here talk about how gameplay is #1 and graphics are only icing on the cake. But the proof is in the pudding when WW twisted gets a 9.5 and everyone is too busy wondering how many pixels make up an apple in DOA 4.

bs. this game is going to own everywhere. impressions have been great for a long time. everyone has said it's like the first game in quality.

Oh, I'm definitely getting it. I've been hyped for this for a looooong time, but that doesn't mean IGN doesn't grossly over- and under-rate a good portion of the time.

I believe this game is the real deal. It's been getting praise all over the board, not the least of which EGM among others. I would say this is the GBA's last great title.

Gunstar Heroes, Riviera, Fire Emblem 2, Wario Ware Twisted, Rebelstar, Sigma Star.

Don't get it twisted man. The only thing that people can actually judge when seeing screenshots is graphics. Especially when these are screens of a next-gen game (or not, I dunno :P).

You just listed the same game we're talking about. And you know I referred to ALL those titles in another thread. They're good, but not great. And you left off a few I even mentioned like Scurge.

someone in the other wario ware thread said the game got bumped to next Monday. any truth to this?

I just saw the commercial. Pinback was the music for the commercial :D

I have listened to that album like 30 times since I bought it in january, but I never thought I would hear it on a commercial :lol

A nintendo rep came into my store on tuesday with the game in her machine. She gave me all sorts of posters and decals for it and said it should be here next week.

Fire Emblem is great no matter the standard. And I don't know, aside from Riviera how have you determined whether Sigma and Rebelstar and Gunstar Heroes are "good" or "great"? You played and beat 'em already?
