We’re also excited to announce a series of charity events, and special Icons segments featuring interviews with iconic developers about some of the world’s most influential games.
Introducing IGN Expo
We’ve got a packed month of game reveals to bring you, not least with three days of IGN Expo, our own showcase for exclusive announcements and reveals from developers across the industry.

IGN Expo will come alongside other announcements and shows from our partners across the industry throughout the month, including the likes of CD Projekt Red, TikTok, and Xbox - all accompanied by our team’s expert analysis in pre- and post-show coverage.

You’ll want to check out our full schedule for all the announcements, but over the month we’ll be bringing you everything from Cyberpunk 2077 details, to next-gen footage, to brand new game reveals, to exclusive footage from the likes of Wasteland 3, New World, Samurai Jack: Battle for Time and much, much more.

IGN's Summer of Gaming Charity Events
As part of our Summer of Gaming programming, we’ll be raising money through charitable donations in support of the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

We’ll have a number of charity-specific segments to both entertain and inspire you, including IGN’s Celebrity Island Tours in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which will include some of the biggest names in pop culture, taking fans inside the world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons to explore guests’ unique islands in a day-long live stream. Animal Crossing: Celebrity Island Tours will include special segments of the hit talk show Animal Talking with host and creator Gary Whitta (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, The Book of Eli), which streams on his Twitch channel and can be watched in VOD on his YouTube channel. Guests for this charity live stream include Candice Patton, Simu Liu, Felicia Day, Shannon Woodward, Cliff Bleszinski, Matthew Mercer, Austin Creed, Michelle Zauner of Japanese Breakfast and more.

The second event, a pre-show Speedrunner Countdown Challenge, will take place at the beginning of each day of IGN’s showcase and pits the world’s greatest speedrunners in a race against time as they strive to break world records live as part of our countdown to Summer of Gaming programming. Speedrunners participating include heyZeusHeresToast playing Bloodborne, tomatoangus playing every main-line Fallout game, Bryonato playing Titanfall 2, LilAggy playing Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Biinny playing Super Mario 64, alongside many more. The pre-show Speedrunner Countdown Challenge will feature in-depth commentary provided by the speedrun charity organization Games Done Quick.

While I'm still excited, this is getting a little ridiculous. Playstation doing their streams, XBOX doing their streams, Geoff doing his streams, IGN doing theirs, and many others, all with reveals and such it's just crazy!

I just don't have time for it all and I long for the days of E3 where you could just count on everything to be revealed in a few conferences that you could plan for.

7 reveals, 3 of them indies. Plus some possible reveals during the guerrilla collective showcase. So guess we can expect about 4 AAA reveals by june 24 from ign.

Looks terribly dull and boring.

Only thing I want to watch is the John Romero interview...the rest is noise.
Looks like the PlayStation reveal is the only good thing coming up.

Sony June event and MS July event are two biggest summer attractions, from what I can tell. But hey, maybe one of these other shows surprises us. even that New Game Plus Expo could turn out pretty nifty, potentially anyway

Yeah but I'd prefer E3 or PSX... I miss the showmanship, GOW reveal was such a great moment for me. The FFVII remake, Shenmue and Last Guardian was also massive.

Of course I'll give these new things a chance, as you say, there is a chance they could turn out to be good.

Pretty weak looking at first read. Hopefully some of those indie and AA games are exciting, But at face value I just see one day of interest, june 11th with the CDPR and EA streams... and that is just IGN bookending it. Prove me wrong IGN, prove me wrong...

Maybe with all the upcoming reveals we can have a catch all thread for all these upcoming games to make it easier for us to see what we have missed. Then we could browse the thread find the corresponding event and what we missed and then click on the link to give us the information. This could possibly be a sticky thread up top that doesn't go anywhere until all these announcements throughout summer are done. It is hard for me to keep up with every announcement or reveal even if I come to NeoGAF quite often so it would help.

Just to be clear, I am not creating it. I am far to lazy/ADD. BUt I know we have a few eager beavers on here who will do it... and it will be great.

With Like a Dragon and 13 Sentinels being shown here, it won't be shown on New Game Plus, which is fine by me.

I see 2...3 Classic Revivals which may or may not be interesting. I hope they are all good at least.

I'm already not a fan. Why is it spread out over 3 weeks...? And it seems like the reveals are sorta lame based on the dev studios listed. So much indie, not enough AAA.

E3 is about a nuclear arms race between Sony and Microsoft.

I think we are going to be depending on the Sony, MS, Ubisoft, CDPR, and EA streams for the big hitters.

Wow that is a pretty significant difference. Like a complete change in lighting for that particular scene.

On another note, I started my 1st playthrough of Oberserver a few months ago, got about 2 hrs in a dropped it. Man it was just such a slow burn... not a whole lot happened in that 1st 2 hrs, very little in the way of story. I'm planning to start it back up again... does it get better?

Wish the event started earlier as on the east coast, doesn't start until 4:30pm. Other than that, im looking forward to seeing the few game reveals just to see/know what they are. Second Extinction gameplay and Wasteland 3 new trailer are what im most hyped and interested in.

At least things are starting to get going.

Visually top notch game with all the best and whistles the tech has to offer now. I want to see consoles in ”Screaming for help” mode.
