What you may not know, however, is that Alien was already an established multimedia franchise well before its first theatrical sequel arrived in 1986. Alien Resurrectionon PS1 is well worth checking out.

It was overlooked due to coming out late in the console’s lifespan and being notoriously difficult. Thankfully the Infinite Health cheat makes it quite enjoyable.

First console game to implement the modern console FPS control scheme by default too

Turning Alien into a shooter never made sense to me.

What a fantastic game.

This and alien isolation are amongs my top 20 games.

Lets be frank. This game was so hard i had to use god mode to even make it past the first section.

The controls just added to the difficulty and mind you back then this was a real a struggle. It took me some time to get use to this mechanic.

The game was absolute trash and no one can convince me otherwise. Its a hallway walking simulator with an alien they just put in your face without any thought, forcing you to use the half baked "stealth" mechanics... all the while you get to play wariorware at each door between zones.

I'll need to replay Alien: Isolation but I'm still confident it's not good. It has the vibe but the way it's designed is EXTREMELY against replay value like other survival horror games.

Well, Turok 1 had the same scheme basically by default. Except for a D-pad instead of a second analog. But it was the same design otherwise.
