This list is just sad, they must've just submitted games that they are playing right now and say they are the best games ever. This generation had too many games on the top 100 list, its very sad IGN and its readers are that stupid.

Damage control is rather ineffective when you don't know what the damage is...

In this case, it'd have been rather difficult to flood the 'polls' as there weren't any polls, but were instead drawn from IGN reader profiles...

That said, only Nintendo fans could be bored enough to fill out reader profiles instead of playing games.

It's funny how they add San Andreas in the top ten when it's basically recycling the same engine and gameplay for the 3rd time in 4 years. I'm sure the guys at Rockstar are spraying champaign at the genius who found out that adding a black gangsta guy would be way more cool with kids than adding a 70's gangsta with a Hawaiyan shirt.

It's made by Capcom, which is why I said it was not a Nintendo game and looking more into this I now realize it wasn't voting, but the idea still stands, I'm pretty sure Nintendo fans have stuff like Super Metroid and Ocarina of Time in their #1/#2 positions (I know those are my Top 2 games of all time, though RE4 is really awesome too)...

I actually don't mind that list. One created by IGN themselves wouldn't have the balls to have such recent games (MGS3, GoW, RE4, HL2) so high, despite the fact that they might be more deserving than much older games so fortunate to have a thick coating of nostalgia.

The thing that pisses me off if that the better games this year are in the Top Ten all time, it says alot about IGN readers. Say if you did the same poll with the same readers five years from now I guarantee the most popular games from that year would be on the Top Ten, kinda sad on IGN's part.
