Considering the lacklustre showing of all 3 next gen consoles:
Considering all of that, I've got to wonder why this forum is flooded with everything EXCEPT games that were actually on show and playable at E3?
One game comes to mind - Zelda Twilight Princess. Game of the Show. Period. One of the best looking games of this generation, one that easily gives some Xbox360 games a run for their money and one of the most popular and respected series in the world of videogames.
Simultaneous worldwide release in 2005 and coming with a collectors edition.
Have we all taken a look at the incredible demo's Nintendo has available for this game? If not, get to it. Holy shit! It looks absolutely amazing.
The horse battles on the open field and the jousting looks incredible. The lighting, effects, emotion, animation, and combat all look absolutely terrific.
I love the new ability they have given the boomerang. Looks great!
Some of you probably hate Nintendo, hate Zelda, have never played it (would rather play Dark Cloud) - that's fine. No argument with you at all, to each their own. However, to ignore the Game of Show so that we can discuss Thursdayton or pre-rendered 'gameplay' from Killzone2 is simply ridiculous.
E3 isn't just about hardware, it's mostly about games - as is the industry - regardless of what MS, Sony or Nintendo want to tell you.
As a homework assignment, we should all pick our favorite playable game from E3 and make a thread about it, regardless of how long it stays alive.
Zeldaton - the true defining moment of E3. Is it stupid to try and suggest that in the face of Xbox360, PS3, Revolution and Thursdayton? You bet, no one will go for Zeldaton - but I'll take Zeldaton over all of the aformentioned E3 highlights, thank you very much.
No playable next gen games for any of the next gen machines, despite the imminent release of the 360 THIS NOVEMBER!me said:Revolution showing no games, literally.
Sony showing no games, pre rendered hype machine garbage.
MS showing games, but are underwhelming and not playable.
