Oh totally, I had this weird feeling that Grandpa Simpson quote would really start to ring true, "I used to be with ‘it’, but then they changed what ‘it’ was. Now what I’m with isn’t ‘it’ anymore and what’s ‘it’ seems weird and scary. It’ll happen to you!" Hasn't happened yet.

Take sincere pleasure in small things. Resonating with animals. Seeing birds up close. How sunlight cast a certain light in your room. Sincere human interaction. The smell of freshly mowed grass. Falling leaves in fall. Looking at the sky. The small things.

Learn to cook. Take recipes as a Blueprint and add to it

Don't take your family and friends for granted

Given how downhill it went from my 30's onwards, I don't even want to imagine what will happen in the 40's...

Ps. I turned 37 this month.

I've got a thing where I've got this crazy pressure behind my left eye. It's been there for over a week now. Doc says she thinks it's either sinusitis or a tumor lol. She didn't have the equipment to do imaging for the head, so she's going with sinusitis, which I have had literally thousands of times over the years and it's never felt remotely like this, but eh what do I know? I'm sorry about your migraines brethren, I get bad headaches too, though not with eye swelling and blood. Sounds awful.

I turned 40 in September. I just eat clean most of the time and exercise three days a week. I don't touch alcohol or recreational drugs so I shouldn't break down for awhile yet lol.

I hope to go into retirement mode over the next ten years somewhat slowly. Just spend more time between projects and slowly write more about film theory than actual film/TV scripts.

Honestly, no one ever really retires in the film industry; it's just your phone stops ringing.

I rarely get blood or swelling, just in rare cases, like one every five or six years.

I smoked and drank. I'm over 40. Was a stupid idea, it does fuck you up. Gives you nerve damage, plus two taxis hit me Gave me ataxia (brain damage) i'm in constant pain. When I in hospital, told male nurse I needed to urinate. Fucker took my cock out and directed it at a cardboard cup. I was humiliated. I didn't give permission. Im not gay, could have pissed in cup myself. Was just in shock.

Still alive though. ;)

I simply lived too hard, although taxis hitting me did a real number on my health. One dude smacked me crossing road when had green man, lights were red.

Second turned into a lane at high speed. Smashed me badly.


I was sober both times.
