Does that make me abnormal?

Now it's not apples per se, jus the texture.

I cannot go eat an apple with skin on. I can barely eat them with the skin shaved off.

I see people just pick up an apple and bite into it and I'm like wtf?

Seriously, just thinking about biting an apple with skin on makes me cringe and my hairs stand up.

It's something to do with the feeling of biting an apple, when I just think about it I can 'feel' them on my teeth and it makes me cringe.

Anyone else out there with appleskinphobia?

I'm not afraid of them, but I don't like them. Give me mostly any other fruit instead.

A good plum or apricot kicks ass, and the pluot (plum/apricot mix) is godly.

Apples and most other fruits definitely taste better peeled and chopped. Plus I usually cut my gums when I eat whole apples. Yeowch.

I was going to make some silly computer joke, but instead I'll offer fruit-eating advice:

Slice the apple into wedges. That way, when you bite into it, the peel won't get stuck between your teeth. Also, it avoids the problem of the apple getting less tasty as you work towards the center.

Find and eat only the best apples. Apples that are overripe and not crisp are nasty.
Apples that are underripe are bland tasting or else too sour.
