I'm disappointed in Namco

MotoGP 4's standard individual race and a season mode will be bolstered by new gameplay modes such as training and melee, which should add to the fun. While new modes are well and good, it's online play that we're most excited about. MotoGP 4 will support races for up to eight players online with voice chat enabled via a USB headset.

Where the hell is it Namco? I got the PAL version from Play this morning and the online mode is no where in sight. It has a LAN mode for eight players with voice chat, but no online play. Fucking bunch of arse holes... rot in hell.

Maybe they took out the online play for the PAL version? It wouldn't be the first time that's happened with a game...

Well the previous two games put me off with it's uncompetitive AI (no Xbox Live), at least with Namco's games you get 'start to finish' racing action on hard and legends settings. In MotoGP 1 & 2 (Xbox) you could just blitz the entire field. Having said that, I may pick it up when it hits the bargain bins a month or so after it launches. Does it play out the 2005 season? Because Namco's is the 2004 which is a disappointment along with the missing online mode. :( The career mode is great though. :D

haha... it feels like I've been robbed though. Even Play.com advertised online play:

With updated teams and riders, new circuits and a range of new modes, advances have been made across every area of the game. MotoGP4 will include online play for the first time to add to the series' established single player and head-to-head racing modes. The highly popular 125cc and 250cc classes have also been added, enabling players to test themselves at all levels of the sport.

I'm going to complain. :D
