Sorry, but I don't have anything useful to contribute.
Apparently you're making a lot of us laugh. 😆

At 2.5%, that makes them the 3rd largest shareholder. So not quite fuck all lol.

Largest shareholder owns less than 10% btw.
This looks more like mimicing the Keiretsu practices of the past where these smaller share buys are an expression of a deeper biz relationship rather than the relationship itself like in the west.

Nintendo will buy Kadokawa whole when Duskbloods becomes the next Elden Ring, just watch
The only big company that could integrate Kadokawa is Sony. Kadokawa gaming studios are only a small portion of it, they also have Manga publishing and real estate.
Kadokawa recently hinted interest in being acquired but as a whole and Sony wants only the gaming part (dunno why, with Crunchyroll and the big insurance dept they could integrate Kadokawa, I guess they are apprehensive because of the Bungie burn).
Sony already owns a small percentage of Kadokawa and a small percentage of FromSoftware.

I'd personally love to see a remake of R Type 4. Nothing compares in the series imo. But yes, would love to see a new RR too.

I loved Type 4, but the PSP games are better.

I'd love to get a new Ridge Racer that would remake all the content from all the previous entries in the series, including ALL circuits -including mirror and reverse variants-, cars, teams, game modes (loved the career one from Rage Racer) and music tracks and would add a few new circuits, songs, cars plus features like deep car customization and online multiplayer with a ranked system.

Should buy some of Sega and have them make Wipeout GX.
Yes, please.

Not counting the ones with Chinese or Korean companies, Sony made in recent times strategic partnerships (and acquiring some stocks as part of it) with Kadokawa+CyGames, From Software, Koei Tecmo+Akatsuki, now Bandai Namco. Next ones in the list could be Capcom, Square Enix, Konami and Sega.

I personally would love to see a Sega+Sumo Digital codeveloped Wipeout with more Japanese and anime vibes (launched almost at the same time than an a related epic shonen anime adaptation).

Sony's interest in Kadokawa is mostly because of their anime and manga/books side plus Japan focused music, movies and tv stuff. Gaming would be just a small part of it, outside FromSoft most of what they have is pretty minor stuff not very appealing to Sony.

Despite not having acquired Kadokawa, Sony is now their largest shareholder and signed an strategic deal to basically do all they wanted to do with them. And other than this, they also had a specific deal with FromSoft when acquired 14% of them. So things wouldn't have changed much with an acquisition.

There's nothing wrong with Bungie, they're making a lot of money and moved some people to other SIE GaaS teams to help there. After the acquisition grew a lot to partly replace people who later was going to be moved to other SIE places or to get fired to reduce redundancies or because a year they underperformed because having two big delays.

As of now Bungie has more people than they had when acquired (even if not counting the people that now works for central SIE GaaS related teams or the people moved to Team LFG), every year they're one of the top money makers in PC and the SIE GaaS (including but not limited to Bungie) seem to have generated enough money to pay the budget of all the dozen IP with GaaS initiative titles (including the ones cancelled or not greenlighted needed as part of the process), Destiny Rising looks promising and Marathon did stunning numbers in the game reveal, gameplay reveal and people applying for the beta.
