...and that, kids, was the first time I sucked a dick for crack
I couldn't hold it in anymore, I have to spill. So after a year+ and a bunch of threads talking about what car to buy and not to buy, I've finally settled and will be making the pick up either Saturday or Sunday. What am I getting?
I never believed all of the hyperbole about a "crossover vehicle" that drives like a sedan, sits like a sedan, but has the appearance of an SUV. But after driving one, I'd be hard pressed to call this car an SUV. You don't have to climb into it like you do an SUV and best of all its performance feels more like a sports car (speed and handling) and not some sluggish brick on 4 wheels. It sits low to the ground, so behind the wheel you really feel like you're driving a regular sedan. I absolutely loved how well it gripped the road and how the chassis refused to flex/roll around at high speed/sharp turns.
Some may wonder why I (actually my dad and myself) opted not to get the stupidly incredible M35x. Well, I've decided that I will keep my Maxima and that the FX will be primarily my father's (though I will pay for it partially, as well). So having two sedans on the same insurance policy will make the payments skyrocket. Regardless, we need a car that can handle NYC winters (this past winter was the last straw) and a car that can haul a good amount of luggage without having to play a puzzle game in the trunk (despite the Maxima having great trunk space). So I'm pretty excited about this.
