I'm hooked on Fable...AGAIN!

The Lost Chapters is awesome. There is so much new stuff. But most of it is little things that people may have thought was there before and wasn't. I have'nt even got to any of the new areas yet, but I have had much more stuff to do than before. And I love how more fleshed out the Lady Grey story line is.

Also, the Darkwood Bordello is almost worth the price of the game alone. The german dominatrix is hilarious. :lol

I advise any who have ever wanted to play this game and haven't, or any who have played the game and think theres nothing left in the Fable universe for them to pick this up ASAP. It made one of my favorite games refreshing and better in significant ways.

every gamestop in my area sold out of shipment.

i might end up having to pick it up online somewhere.

is there really that much extra in it for 19 bones?

I've played it for hours, and I'm not halfway done with the game, as compared to the original when I would have basically beaten it by now.

I would buy this....if I could fucking find it anywhere. Only place near me that got it was Gamestop, and they only got in 3 copies, and they don't know when they're getting more in. What the fuck.

Actually, I was mocking people who said that they liked people less because of certain games in that thread there was a little while back -- someone said they thought a person's gaming IQ was lower if they liked Fable. I actually liked Fable a lot; beat it twice when it came out. But I confess, it's been well over a year since I played it, and I haven't been able to find any store with the Lost Chapters version for Xbox in stock. But I'm looking forward to it, and want it quite a bit. I'd say the overly defensive little name-caller is the scared little boy inside. :)

You can't count on specialty stores to carry new games anymore. The manager of the EB I go to claims that they don't even get copies unless there's at least one pre-order - if there's one pre-order, then they'll send three copies or something like that. I don't know if he meant that's what they got for launch quantities or what..

Try Best Buy, Circuit City, or an online retailer...

No major chains seem to have it here, Best Buy and CC hadn't even heard of it. I'll most likely have to order it online which isn't the end of the world, but annoying.

I'm really enjoying it too but I never played the original Fable so the experience is an entirely new one to me. I'm being a really good, nice guy with three wives in different towns :D The story is kinda "meh" so far but all the little details and things you can do make up for it. It's also pretty easy but at least the combat feels quite solid and satisfying. I wouldn't really call it an RPG either. It's more like a Zelda game.

Nah, the big box stores aren't carrying it. I'm not sure why they bothered publishing it if they're not going to, you know, distribute copies.

sp best buy and fry's has now beaten out gamestop and eb as far as new releases go?

might have to go to fry's or best buy tomorrow.

I saw it at a BB.. I think it was in the Platinum Hits separate section so it wasn't easy to spot.

Sonarrat, no doubt. Stores might carry it if they don't have any pre-orders, but apparently they don't get them the next day. Unless a game has pre-orders, they aren't stocked the day of, or the day after. The specialty stores refuse to spend for overnight shipping on games they don't think are important. So expect three day shipping, which sometimes results in the games coming out the following Monday, due to weekends and things. Guitar Hero had the trouble around here. No stores have it, because there weren't any pre-orders, and given the size of the packaging and the expense of shipping, it's coming extra slow.

While playing it I've said out loud many a time, "THIS is what Zelda should have been!".

Ah, got it.. so the guy wasn't just spouting off a bunch of shit to impress me into doing more pre-orders. Re: Guitar Hero, I have to wonder about that game.. it's so huge and expensive that I can see it becoming an instant collector's item like Steel Battalion.

I remember reading something about the UPCs for Fable and The Lost Chapters being the same (the Lost Chapters as a Platinum Hit just replaces the old version, but the UPC stayed the same). I think this caused some confusion, and perhaps still is causing confusion with ordering and whatnot.

Which is mainly why I fear ordering it online. Most stores still have a small stock of the original Fable in. I have to presume warehouses do, as well. Last thing I want to do is order Fable from ebgames.com, and end up with the original version.

Agreed, already put 16 hours into this, the new stuff they've added is cleverly done so it seems like its part of the overall game and not just addons.

I forget how many neat touches Fable is filled with, its extremly satisfying hacking down the undead, the way they brak apart after the final blow, followed by screaming souls being released into the world.

You can also donate books to the school, some nice funny moments with the teacher acting out plays and hinting at tips and treasures buried around Albion

Just about to enter the graveyard, Music is amazing

Love it!

Actually, if the big name stores still have copies of the original Fable lying around, they won't put the Platinum Hits version out on the shelves.

Ask about the title and explain that it is different and for them to "check in the back". I'm sure they'll have it.

Taking the books to the teacher was alone worth the price for this version... got to the later new stuff (don't want to spoil), but I went back to bowerstone a LOT with new books after seeing the first few of these, fucking hilarious!!!!!!!!!!

I prefer the exotic at the bord:)

Maybe if I was psychic, like you assume, I would know what you were talking about. But since I'm not the post came across rather insulting. I don't have time to read EVERY thread. So I'm sorry for the comment, but I don't consider myself overly defensive when I respond to what looks like a blatant and foolish attack by a child.
Maybe try and make your points or referances a bit clearer in the future. just a thought.

By the way, my little boy can kick your little boys ass.

J/K :D
(see how easy that was?)
