Well as some of you know i've been fighting what i thought was a horrible battle with stage 2 stomach cancer. I underwent a operation on monday of last week that had me almost crippled in pain. I've gone through a lot of cancer treatments in the past month and now i can say that it looks clear. I went in for some additional testing it looks like the cancer is dying. Mainly cause of the blood vessels they destroyed, cutting off the food supply for the mutated cells. Unfortunatly i still must go through 2 more 8 hour treatments. But i'm so happy. The removed the tumor's from my esphogus back in early november so the stomach was the last thing to get taken care off.

And the study drug i've been taking has really helped me fight this stuff. Now i'll be under constant watchful eye via monitoring equipment for the next three years till this study ends. Hopefully this will be the last day i have to dread being hooked up to machines. I'm very happy as of right now. I only wish other people could have gotten the care that i've been going under. All of you guys should get yourselves checked out, something like this can happen to you.

Anyways go about your buisness and have a good day everyone. (damn this cord in my nose hurts like a bitch)

Good to hear.

Btw though, what kind of problems were you having that made you decide to get checked out for it?

Horrible heartburn (GERD) that would disrupt my sleep and other things in my daily life. I would have to run to throw up cause of the acid in my stomach. It was later found out after going through a EGD that i had a bunch of little dots and so they cut some out looked around found bigger growths and thats how they knew. It took a few days to find out if it was active or not. And it was very much active. We actually got to see one grow to almost the size of a golf ball. But i'm a big guy with a big stomach there was lots of room for more shit to grow and grow it did on just about any cell wall that was infected with bacteria it mutated into cancer.

I feel weak as hell but i'm still me and thats what matters. My white blood cells stayed up pretty high after the first couple weeks which is good cause that means the drug worked very well on me.

That's great news, man. I've been wondering how things turned out with that ever since your first thread telling us about it.

Oh that's just awesome man. I'm quite happy for you, especially after your first topics about it. I still don't know how I coul dhave handled such a thing, but my was your composure pretty amazing. Again, I'm glad for you, let's hope the same good fortune can spread with others who run into this. Get all well soon, B'z-chan.

Man, I hate hearing about cancer. It always makes me paranoid as hell. This is especially so with testicular cancer. I swear, after watching that Tom Green testicular cancer special on TV, I fondled my balls in the shower for like three weeks afterwards.

Either way, congratulations!

Congrats!

I've had someone very close to me battle cancer, and anytime I hear a story about someone kicking it's ass, I'm overjoyed.

Keep on, my friend.

GREAT NEWS!!!!

Just stick with whatever health/diet plan your doctors recommend, and hopefully it'll stay in Remission forever/for a long time.

My Dad, though, just was diagnosed with Non-Hodgekin's Lymphoma again. Been about 8 years since the 1st go-round. [obscene amounts of sarcasim]Cancer is fun, ain't it![/obscene amounts of sarcasim]
