I thought of something when reading the PSP vs iPod thread, but didn't want to get off topic there. Can the PSP read images saved onto the memory stick? If so, which formats? And could I plug it right into a PC and copy images from there?

It reads images taken with a Sony camera, right? And those are just regular JPGs...

Yes, JPGs.

Although, apparently PSP game save files use PNG images for snapshot icons, so I wonder if you could display PNG files of your own creation as well.

Time to make a portable gallery of my images then. I did one for my iRiver but the screen isn't really big enough to really enjoy it.

Now that I think of it, I wonder if PSP can be used as an external USB device with iRiver so you can exchange data between them. Now THAT would rock.

Yeah, it might be kinda neat to load them off the memory card. Some games might be small enough to fit on the not-so-huge memory cards, anyway.
