Why do Mac desktops always look a billion times better than Windows desktops?

I mean half of the backgrounds being used aren't even that interesting, but overall their desktops look so much cooler.

Awesome. Is the Unregistered version bad in any way if you only want to use a couple?

The only downside is that it puts an unclosable window on your desktop asking you to register. If you like having a clean desktop it's an annoyance, but since i use widgets in Expose mode, i never even look at the desktop anymore. If i could find a truly useful widget or two then i'd actually buy the program.

Picture is of the woman i'm currently dating, as mentioned in this thread, for those few who care. i applied the median filter in Photoshop since the photo was taken at ISO 400 with a one second shutter and after too much wine.

Shift + Apple + 4 lets you make a box selection grab. Also, pressing space in this mode lets you grab individual windows, panels and menus.
