I've never seen porn there, never looked. I really don't like how they treat links though. Trying to force everything into an Imgur frame rather than just linking the image. Super annoying on mobile.

i really despise what they did to the imgur community, it wasn't even that long ago I used to visit the site daily it was so positive, funny and one of the best communities online. then it was the first time i've seen a website get TDS. Turned to utter shit ever since, endless cynicism, mean spirited, and fun killing miserable site.

I noticed this also, you scroll down from the image you looked for and it's just an endless stream of hateful and slanted content. Totally shit community.

I guess I'll have to back them up somewhere else. What a pain.
The most annoying thing is going to be updating the links on the blog where I have them posted.

abload.de but that's only in german I think... shouldn't be an issue to translate tho

abload is good for permanent image hosting (some of my near decade old images still work) but their upload speed is fucking trash. I can't get it to go more than 300~400 kb/s.

other, worse, hosts like postimage upload 10 mb images in 5 seconds.

Because it's an odd stance to take on purging all old links that are not porn that's been used to host images for guides, forum posts, etc, over the past few years.

I can see why that part of the update might irk some the wrong way. Personally I don't mind as most of the images I upload are tied to my account.

the speed is indeed suboptimal, but I just love how free of clutter the site is.

it's straight to the point, and the direct links are actually direct links to the image and not that shit imgur does

People are also missing that they will be deleting all content uploaded where the person wasn't logged into an account. This is going to create dead links all over the internet… including many OTs from over the years here I would imagine.
