No more imageshack, lets try to find a image host that doesnt shit out on us after 25 seconds.

edit: I'm gonna post various image hosting services as i find them, if you guys find some post them and ill add them to the list.

If you're going to make us bitches suffer by posting lame macros and owl images, the least you could do is plunk down the cash to get your own webspace to host images on. We suffer, suffer like G did.

well, "banned" is too strong a word. They are forcefully "persuading" us to look for alternative image hosting services ;P

but my guess is that they want you to find another image host. and they are tired of seeing gold frogs.

Hmm. Old posts are going to be annoying, now... we'll see blank spots and have no idea what the point was.
 
Actually I'm really glad the gold frogs are gone from the avatars.
The admins should have called imageshack to get GAF some kind of deal :)
 
I'll like imagevenue a lot better when they have a firefox extension that lets you colocate files, as well as a shell extension for one-click uploads. :p
 
I am known for bitching about policy changes that change the status quo, and this will be no different. Can we just change this to a mandate that there be no Imageshack avatars (Photobucket can handle the bw requirements except for the animated gifs that push the limit) and that images be posted as thumbnails from that site? PLEASE BRING BACK IMAGESHACK!

I say this for two reasons:

1. X05 is right around the corner. There is no other site that is as convenient and easy to use as Imageshack. Sorry, but they have this cool feature that lets you grab pics from a site without ever having to dload them to your computer first. The ultimate in convenience, and it made mirroring images a breeze. Sites like ImageVenue are unproven. What are the odds that they'll hit the fucking bandwidth ceiling before Imageshack once we start nailing them during big shows? More site options are better. Blocking arguably the best one on the web is s-t-u-p-i-d.

2. The gold frogs really aren't that big of a deal. It's more a sign of the prosperity of this forum than anything. Who cares if people come in and leech pics? It's Imageshack's bandwidth, not GAFs. I haven't heard people complaining about it. I read lots of comments about getting owned by yellow frogs, but is it really that bad? It's a free image hosting site that has the most convenient functions built in. Let's at least leave it as an option, while openly endorsing others as well...PLEASE. ************** is the shit. I have two fucking bookmarks to this place, it's so good. One for conventional uploads that I have on my PC, and one for quicky grabs directly from a website. When ImageVenue and TinyPic and others offer this functionality, then I'd gladly shitbin Imageshack. But right now, you can store a 1MB pic with the ultimate in ease.

Le sigh, I just don't understand the thought process of the people who admin/mod this forum sometimes. There are stupid decisions, and there are some decisions that make you want to just beat people over the head with a sack of nickels. This is the latter, b/c this is manages to top the bannable words list as one of the dumbest moderating decisions to come down the pike. Hey...you knew I'd bitch about it. So there. PEACE.

Dude, just shut the fuck up. This is to stop people from posting pics that vanish in seconds, making threads hard to read if the image was useful or equally annoying if the picture wasn't. Stop bitching like a teething baby and use a host that'll tolerate the bandwidth GAF users suck up. All the "convenience" in the world doesn't mean a damn fucking thing if all it gets you is a broken frog image. This isn't to piss people off. If it's that much of a problem we might start hosting images on-server soon, or somebody could come up with a way to break non-thumbnailed pics.

BTW, avatars are not affected, although similar bandwidth concerns may apply. Neither are existing posts. Only newly made ones.

OH, sorry... I think I know what's going on. I think the censor becomes retroactive whenever a thread gets updated... that's not what was intended.
