These LD entries are nice! Fathom is gorgeous and plays smooth, would love to see a full version of this concept released. SUPERHOTline Miami is a fun, quick diversion. It is exactly what the name implies and just as you'd imagine it would be.

Is Jumpjet Rex any good?

It's good. The levels are pretty good (if a little over reliant on these start-an-stop lasers), the Rex controls well and it has a number of charming extras. I don't find it to be the best example of its genre (if you could it as a 2D time trial focused game) but if you are fan of those type of games then it is well worth checking out.

Also, forget what I just said above, it is worth supporting purely due to how unbelievably brazen the developers are with 95% of the alternate costumes in regards to copyright infringement. It is pretty great.

Toma

Let me show you through these halls, my friend, where treasures of indie gaming await...
Voting April!

RULES THIS MONTH IN SHORT: Up to 10 games, at least 4.

Why?
Because we want to offer people who first step into the thread an easy go-to list for great games. Plus it gives more attention to the titles that really deserve it.

How?
Everyone votes on his top 10 games out of the ones that already have been released AND are mentioned in the OP (So everything in Post 2). I'll tally the results and put the best 5 in the next thread. A minimum voting count of 4 is required. Feel free to vote for games that you deem "important" or the ones that you enjoyed the most. Since this is a rather communicative thread, feel free to include a short description why these games ended up on your list. Every list entry gets 1 point for the overall ranking.

When?
This thread is still open until the end of the month, so you can drop your list in here whenever you want. You can also change your list up to the last day. I wont start the count before the last day of the month, so everyone has still time to revise their lists and play some games. Speaking of which, if you dont even KNOW 7 games to vote for, there are plenty free games in the OP to check out. Most of which are rather short too. Use the remaining week to catch up with 1 or 2 titles you didnt get around to yet!

Which?
Since the list got rather long, here is the complete list of games to vote for for this month.

Deadbolt - Hopoo's new game, still in early stage of development but already shows a lot of promise, it controls very well and you have so much options on how you're going to take the enemies down and how route you're going to use to optimize your time.

Heart of Morning - Is the site down or something? I tried following the link in the OP but it doesn't open the game's page

Mussel - Another game I had problems with, everytime I try to launch it the screen goes black indicating the game should be starting but then it comes back to the desktop without any message about a crash or anything similar.

Chester Unlimited - I'm gonna say I liked the original Chester and I reading it was getting a sequel got me interested in the new game, but I couldn't get around this new one, the jumping seems to be too float the camera is strange and take some time to properly follow the character.

Outlaw Space - The game was too much repetitive, reach a new area > fight against a group of enemies > loot > go to another part of the map > repeat. At least the game has a good style.

Pillars of Eternity - As I already said on this same thread, I haven't played any of the olds cRPG so PoE is my first incursion on the genre, so far I'm at 72 hours and I'm just loving the game. I'm interested in the world as whole and the companions are written very well and I always struggle to choose my party.

Battle Brothers - $19.99 (PC)

Battle Brothers is a turn based strategy RPG mix which has you leading a mercenary company in a gritty, low-power, medieval fantasy world. You decide where to go, whom to hire or to fight, what contracts to take and how to train and equip your men in a procedurally generated open world campaign.

Also, did anyone here played Out There: Ω Edition? It gives me a FTL vibe

Well at least I'm not the only one. Definitely plan to check out some of the free stuff

Same here and I totally forgot that i should've played more at the weekend.

There were a few big hitters released last month the should easily be in the top games - will try and play some more of the free games to get some more votes in.

Elsinore is on Kickstarter. Been interested in this for months, glad to see the campaign off to a great start

Have Crypt of the NecroDancer and Kerbal Space Program had the indie thread treatment yet as they both came out of EA this month and was wondering if they should get posted for next months thread?

Nice to see Earthtongue released on steam too

Oh, cool, I was wondering why the list seemed so much shorter than it ought to be. I've actually played a few games this month, though naturally I can't decide on an order for them so here are my picks alphabetically:

Little Party
Mussel
Plug & Play
The Right Side of Town

Honorable mention to games I think have neat parts that don't come together fully:

Fragile Soft Machines
Shelter 2

I was hoping to jump in with some voting for once, but I didn't play enough games on the list this month. I'll try for next month instead!

Shadowrun Chronicles - Boston Lockdown
