Indivisible: Valkyrie Profile/Metroid, Indiegogo, PC/Mac/Linux/PS4/XB1 -- funded!

If we manage to hit our goal, no one will say we didn't work for it, that's for sure.
Anyone who would say you didn't work for it after getting a prototype up on PSN two years before release has to be nuts. That and all these guest characters makes me think you guys are doing some black magic here.
Yeah, which was expected. Maybe not quite to this extent, though.

Looks like we may have another big crossover happening before the end of the campaign, and we're going to put the prototype on Steam to make it even easier for everyone to get.
Excellent

I went to try and donate to this last night, but got a paypal error message. I swear the universe doesn't want me to pledge.

Seriously you guys are amazing! Have you guys figured out the secret of never having to sleep or something?
Mike did, but it just makes him crankier. Who'd have thunk it?

I'm being serious. Anyone who followed SG even semi-regularly on IRC and Skullheart could talk to him at all hours of the day/night for years.

It's basically returned to the baseline when the campaign had little to no media coverage. When the first Youtube personalities (Game Grumps, Jim Sterling, etc.) first started putting up their LPs, the baseline basically doubled for about 10+ days then fell. Then the double whammy of the PS4 version of the prototype & the guest characters tripled the base rate until the rush to 900k. The last things written about the campaign on most major sites as far as I'm aware where basically "The campaign got extended!" which to many layman probably reads "cool, I don't have to rush".

I think anything that can get the campaign back into the media's view will be beneficial. For example, each time Bloodstained was able to hit major stretch goals, and this is true of other big campaigns, that often prompted media coverage which in turn informed or excited potential backers. If you can get more guests (which I can understand is both exiting but also perhaps a bit frustrating) and the prototype on Steam (though anybody who plays on PC should be already able to play this though I guess its a matter of visibility rather than accessibility?) that will really help. I know some people have been bugging some of the bigger Youtube personalities that haven't covered the game yet but I dunno how fruitful those efforts will be. Hopefully something comes out of them.

Try again tonight or did you get the same error?

Super Best Friends did toss in money for him to be an NPC most likely. I'd like to see some strings pulled for him to become a playable incarnation if it could happen.

Given that this late in the campaign no one bit on the 20k reward, it's a shame that they didn't use more instances of the 10k playable incarnation goal. Probably would've faired better.

~Leilani~

Boisterous and resourceful, Leilani is the polar opposite of her shy and reserved twin sister. Inseparable since birth, the two young priestesses spent each day together, with Leilani assuming the role of protector in times of danger.

When her sister was chosen by their starving village as a sacrifice to the shark god, Leilani did not hesitate. As her sister tearfully protested, she stood, arms skyward, bravely awaiting the jaws of death.

In recognition for her courage, rather than devour her, the shark god instead adopted her. Returned to the material world with a weapon fashioned from his discarded teeth, Leilani is charged with protecting those in need... but barred from ever seeing her sister again, lest the secret be revealed.

Cool backstory, and she looks cute as pineapple pie. I also love how comically strong/thick her legs (including her ankles) are.

I was thinking, oh she's pretty cute, wait I haven't looked at her hands yet, oh. That's a chainsaw made of sharks teeth. Well then.

Either I read poorly, or the description is kind of weird too. Lest her secret be revealed? As in her sister thought she died so she doesn't want to reveal she's alive because uh, reasons?

Also Chun Li legs compared to her arms.

I don't know why but comes off as kinda anime on comparison to others. Also, I thought she was holding a keyblade at first.

Otherwise, another solid design!

Hawaiian mythology is secretly some of the coolest fucking stuff ever. Was really keen on seeing it show up in the game, and here it is! Love how her sword is made from her adopted dad's discarded teeth - there's something cool and mythological about those sorts of details. Her backstory in general is just great in general. Already a huge fan of her and her design.

And of course her legs are thick - she must swim a lot!

Is this a JunkPuyo design? I'm surprised how much the individual styles of each of your main/allied artists come through in these designs. I'd assume the Incarnations would be more stylistically uniform in the final game?

That's also a chainsaw right? Complete with a pull-cord and "vroom vroom" sounds right? She seems like she could be a lot of fun <3

Next up seems steampunk backpack guy and then FINALLY Edwina Elric the Bionic Commando <3

On a side note, I'd still say it might be a good idea to send an update to the Skullgirls IGG campaign about the guest characters just in case you catch any stranglers who were SG backers but weren't aware of Indivisible or were aware but might now be enticed now with Annie and the other guests.

Yup, it's by Chris / JunkPuyo.

Right now we're just getting these out, and there will be a stylistic unification pass later.

The chainsaw, them tree trunks she calls legs, that Polynesian ancestry/mythos and that hairdo. She's another winner in my book. Having Junkpuyo on board for the character reveals helps a ton too.

Having grown up in Hawaii I'm glad they're using these:

They made all kinds of weapons out of wood and then bound shark teeth to them. It's really cool looking.

That's pretty cool, I didn't know that was a thing. The one I posted uses obsidian pieces instead of teeth. Interesting to see the similarities.

My top 5 Favorite Incarnations are now as follows.

1) Razmi
2) Pheobe
3) Toko
4) BaoZhai
5) Zahra.
..
Wait I like more than 5...

6) Qadira
7) Tatanka
8) Naga Rider
9) Lanshi
10) Yan

fuck it, Kushi, Tungar and Thorani are in there as well.

I really like Toko, Razmi, Thorani, Kushi, Tungar, Baozhai, Antoine, Nuna, and Qadira.

But nothing beats Ajna though:

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

More on-topic, I am digging the design and I've enjoyed Junk's art for a while. In fact, I like the popular artists Lab Zero teams up with for the most part. Alex has some talented friends!

i can't imagine that's actually appropriate for this thread

or GAF in general

Oh no, cartoon guts.

I come out in support of posting a badly resized GIF of Hakase eating a shark, especially since it's drawn by one of the artists.

Much obliged. I thought the native size would be too distracting, it's a large gif!

stanley no ;_;

I blame the people that didn't vote. I voted, Stanley, I voted.

I'm sure that her weapon is based on an actual Polynesian weapon, but when I look at it all I see is a tribal Hawaiian chainsaw. Polynesian 40K if you will.

Great to see even more cultures getting represented.

Could I get directed to a non resized version? Looks very cool.

Leilani looks interesting, although her legs/feet don't convince me 100% (thick is cool, but there it gives me more a sense of swollen instead of just thick). I'll be curious to see the various designs once they do the unifying pass.

Also I agree, Tenoch looks even better now.

PM'd mah dude.

And yes, you bring up a good point about the legs. I am hoping to see slight, polished adjutments to a number of the characters as time with the project goes on.

Ajna is totally MVP.

I love her design and stances, so amazing.
Yeah, even after all the amazingly unique and badass characters they've posted, for some reason Ajna continues to be my overall favorite.
