I haven't been a part of this thread at all so don't know what has gone down. I never heard of the game until four days ago, I heard the name but I assumed it was just some rap star game. My point is if I'm going to troll I won't come in here expressing my excitement and state that I'm picking up the game shortly. Yet again I guess people here need something to fight about regardless of the thought process.

I'm liking the game so far, I'm a comic book fan so I'm sure I'll like the story and style of telling it. Controls feel a bit lofty though.
 
I don't know how anyone can resist playing evil right off the bat. Looks to be about 20x more fun than playing good, which is almost always the case (imo) in these karma-based games.

I'm just at the start of the game....but yeah all those people in pain rolling on the ground will be too tempting.

I had fun playing on hard...I didn't think it was a pain in the butt like some hard modes in other games.
Well, except for the last boss.
Oh, and if you start off at a regular difficulty and the game promotes you to hard, you'll get the trophy for completing the game on hard.

Yep. If they treat you like crap, feel free to knock over their magazine rag. Our store doesn't even have one though. Also, if you ever go into a GS where they don't put the stickers directly on the cover art (meaning it's under the plastic, but still not stuck on the cover), you can thank our store. Our DM and regional guy liked our idea so much, they suggested that ALL stores do it too. We make sure not to fuck up your games. :lol
 
Ok I got the call from my local EB games this morning so I poped down to pick up the game and to my suprise not a single copy they got in had uncharted 2 beta codes. WTF is it US only (iKm in Canada btw) anyway I was pissed as I was looking forward to it but at least infamous (so far) has been really fun.
Any other Canadians find.a copy with uncharted 2 codes??

On the slip in my game it says US and Canadian residents. So it should be available to you, just maybe they weren't participating with the codes?

I hope Play.com have a decent delivery time for once... dying for a game to play since KZ2 got stuck in my cousins console after it died on him :(

Such a hussy for Naughty Dog, too. I could've had this for £28 and be guarenteed delivery for thursday, but I want the beta too much.
 
So what the fuck? I saved my game after getting the food box down and shut down to eat lunch, now when I fire the game back up I'm forced to watch the opening (unskippable) cut scene again and I'm on the roof powering up the batteries (after watching another unskippable cutscene).

I am not pleased about that at all. What's the point of allowing people to save anywhere if it just pushes you back 10-15 minutes? And seriously, unskippable cutscenes?

Huge flaws IMO.

The truth is that you won't be using melee much anyway... I don't see it imbalancing anything.

You have to make sure you save after the "MIssion Completed" screen (or whatever it says).
This happened to me twice as well in the beginning. The second time I played the mission, I realized that I saved prior to officially ending the mission.
 
I have 1 extra power code BUT WAIT. I PM'd a friend on here who I initially got it for since I bought 2 copies and got 2 vouchers. If he doesn't want it then I will be back here to pimp it for a high price

Having not booted my copy I can agree. But huge? Don't be a diva. I know it's frustrating but your 1 complaint doesn't add to huge flaws.

No. That thing takes up 3 bars of energy per strike and you still need to get in melee range for it to work. It's nice to mess around with but it's pretty weak overall.

The power up codes DO work. Just entered it in now. I also have an EXTRA Uncharted code. Don't know what I should do with it yet. Hmmmmm.... ;)
 
Oh yeah, the game can run in 60fps at some points. Every action/beat 'em up should be 60 FPS IMO. Some games just look too "video gamey" and artificial with it.

save the civilians, and kill the cops on the bridge. It doesn't really matter, since they all die anyway at the end.
At least I got another trophy. On HARD, Cole isn't indestructible, like he is on the default mode. NORMAL is way too easy.

Oh, there is a mandatory install that takes 1.3 GB.

How does it go about doing it? Was it mentioned before as I think I haven't read that. Not that it matters especially since I have a 500GB HDD.

i say play on good first because you have to hold back. On Evil, once you unleash the floodgates, there's no turning back. You'll just want throw cars at enemies and blow stuff up left and right, and that would totally kill your good karma (thunder drop max is totally useless for good unless you're in wide open areas).

It goes up to about the 20% mark on the Installing meter, and that's it. It's bizarre but all the data is there. lol

Been playing for about 2 hours. Having fun so far. :D
I really like thee TV spots when you hit a roof and you get an announcement.

Can't tell you how many times I have forgotten I don't have the glide ability yet.
EDIT: I was running around and all of a sudden two people near me got shocked without me doing anything, then I noticed I ran through a puddle. :lol
 
Damn, I actually had to go BACK to GS because I forgot that I didn't get my gigawatt code. Unfortunatly, they didn't have any. The store I go to just got converted to a 'sotre of the furture' and they didn't get any mail for ~ 2 weeks while closed for construction. I had to the one up the street and got it there at least. I would like to comment on the store

So, they told me it's only the 3rd GS to get this special treatment, (GS@ col. boulevard in denver) so I was looking forward to seeing what they did. I took some time to look around the store; It was nice, but not stunning or anything. They changed allot of the colors and style and it's much more open and spread out now, but aside form a few cool things it's about the same. They have more kiosks and demo around which is cool, but I don't really use demo kiosks anymore (I have already seen all the vids and demos). They had a really nice 4-way psp set-up where you could sit and play against other people. The only other thing that was note-worthy was the giant touch-screen that linked to thier computers. This way by far the best thing they had. You could scan any game and get instant info and screen shots, as well as a listing of how many new and used copies they had. That in itself way a great feature; you can SEE when there is a used copy of any game they have. It already had a listing and description for Demon's Souls (US) but no pics yet. I spend 10 minutes just going through listing and upcoming releases looking at shots of prototype, ghost busters, and Uncharted 2. Oh yeah, the game have reviews with them; I asked and was told that the reviews are straight off gamestop.com. I'll note there are no listing for psn games that I could see :/ I wish I saw taken my camera but they may not have liked me taking pictures.
So, nice new look, same old GS, but there are some really cool additions now. Check one out if you can, but don't go out of your way. Phew, back to infamous.

well picked mine up @ lunch. 2 gigawatt cards and 2 uncharted vouchers. the one that's packaged in seems to have something for the final game, not just the demo code. :D

Hmm, I thought all copies had the Uncharted 2 beta? Dumb questions to follow:

Does Best Buy have the beta vouchers?

Is there a sticker on the outside to show there is a beta voucher in the case?
