Do hidden package missions add on to the total 350 shard counts??
nope, just the count until your next metre upgrade, which eventually maxes out, so by the end of the game the five shards you get from hidden packages will be all but useless

Damn, I'm missing one shard. I think I missed one and am not able to go grab it...

Here's where I remember seeing it:
Right before you fight Sasha under the bridge/tunnel place, right before the big drop/boss battle I remember I pressed L3 and seen a blue dot. I didn't grab it there.
I have 349 shards. I'm going everywhere in the historic district trying to find it. I got the one at the very end of the peer that everyone seems to be having trouble with.

You can't get that shard then, it is actually on the surface (so, above that area) which means you probably collected it later. Wish I could help more, I know how annoying it is!

AH HA! I got it. Right in front of my eyes too, just had to scale halfway up a VERY tall building for it to even show up on my radar. Well thats 48% of trophies, I'll probably get another 4-5 on this playthrough, then playthrough as an evil mofo and grab everything else.

I love this game to death but you can definitely tell it was rushed. I particulary love when you jump on a broken down train and the audio ques up wind rushing by and the sound of the wheels spinning on the track.

Awesome, just gotta take a couple more pictures! :lol

Ah you can kill people if u both stand in water on the ground, whoops :lol

Gah, the "Right Back At Ya" stunt is driving me crazy. I spent a good 30 minutes up on a roof with one enemy, tossing his occasional grenades back at him... But for some reason he got bored and stopped attacking me. Frustrating I tell ye. I've also killed lots of rocket launcher dudes with their own rockets, but nothing. Not cool.

Story thing here, Alden mission:

How exactly was Zeke supposed to stop that shit from happening?

Holy shit at that mission, though. Unlimited energy kicks ass.
From what I gather...
Zeke was suppose to be like a watchdog and alert Cole if they were getting near Alden. But Zeke left his post.

This game is a lot of fun. I am amazed how much they nailed the controls. Jumping around the city and climbing buildings is so much fun.

I have about 75% of Neon City cleared. Does the tone of the game along with the mission types change on the other islands?

Go to Warren. Search for a Dust Man equipped with a grenade launcher and play with him.

I just realized I can recharge myself from ZERO electricity by shooting something metal and than reabsorbing what I just shot out.

In fact it even stacks, I shot something metal 5 times and absorbed all 5 back.

Basically, I can recharge anytime. I was running around with no power in the "blackout" parts of the city looking for generators too... Now I don't have to.

I did that a lot on my evil hard run, very helpful.

omg just beat the game.
did anyone feel it was one big tease to the crazier sequel? i really liked the ending and it came kind of unexpected, and a bit subdued. I thought with the crazier lightning weather powers you get you'd have to do some crazy leveling of a area by then, instead megawatt hammers worked better and dodging around a open area. Still awesome though, GOTY for me, as much as I love Killzone2 no open world game has grabbed me like this one

When Kessler completed it, he sent it to Cole's messaging company and asked for no one else but Cole to deliver it.

I think he meant before going back through time and giving it to himself
Which I also wonder.

Beaten it today, liked the ending. Evil run now. Will probably won't bother getting 100%, it gets quite repetitive.

Jesus Christ this is difficult. Does anyone have any tips for the very first mission on the third island? I don’t have enough time to fight all the enemies and when I go to heal the people next to the bombs, the option isn’t even coming up and I’m just turned to swiss cheese. Sooooooo frustrating.

Sooooooo frustrating.

You aren't even supposed to heal them, just
drain the power from the grid around them.

You don't heal them, you absord
the bomb.

I don't remember exactly, but is that the mission where you have a few people in electrified links around them? You have to just Drain the electricity. If its a different mission, then ignore :p

edit: wow i'm so slow at replying

As was said, you're supposed to just
drain the electricity from the bomb.

I actually found the easiest way to do that mission was:

If you have the megawatt hammer (preferably powered up by that point), just spam it at anyone that comes near you and run straight for the bomb, drain it, and then retreat to a nearby rooftop and deal with the swarm from up there.

Usually, Kessler won't start the next bomb until most or all of the swarm from the previous bomb are gone, so you'll have time to deal with them. Obviously, it helps to retreat to a rooftop with something on it you can drain for electricity.

I feel your pain brother, I was thinking that was the one I must have missed too. I spent hours looking for my 350th shard today, and it turned out to be a quite simple one in the neon district that I had somehow overlooked, it was am amazing feeling when I hit the R3 and I saw the little blue dot :D .

This one caused me a lot of problems too, I got it today in the Historic distric. There you face floating enemies that alomst exclusively fire grenades, just spam the shockwave on these (in a mission where there are lots) and you should get it

I have no idea how I got that in my head. It's much easier when all you have to do is drain the fence. :lol

Platinumed it last night. Yay! Too bad that at the end of a Hard run you still need to grind for so much exp. I drained enemies until one of them glitched out and became immobile/invincible, then nailed him with about ten thousand headshots over the course of half an hour so I could buy all the remaining abilities :lol
lol. i like the way you think

Have a Nice Fall: play one of the optional Dark Water missions on island 1, hang on the edge of the rooftop ledge near a group and blast at them with shockwave. If you fail and don't have enough enemies left to pull this off let yourself get killed or toss a grenade at your own feet and retry.

Right Back at Ya: End of island 2 spoilers:
When you are at the very top of Alden's trash tower there's several pre-set waves of enemies that come at you. One of the final waves is 2 Dust Men who only launch grenades and nothing else. If you take one out and keep out ofshockwave hit distance to the last one you can get as many tries at reflecting the grenade back as you want. As with the Dark water suggestion, if you accidentally kill the Dust Man by shockwaving him directly just die or commit suicide and try again

BTW: It is amusing to read through recent posts and see others having the same trouble with one or two blast shards at the endgame that I had. I'm surprised the L3 button on my controller still works. :lol

I had such a funny fanboy moment today at work. This guy, who is on my friend list and knows I have infamous, comes up and I ask him how Prototype is.

He responds with, "imagine infamous times ten and then some, but don't listen to the reviews especially at gametrailers, they're totally dogging it for no reason." So funny to see the retarded shit the internet creates.

I love this game to death but god it needs a patch or two. Quick smart. First and foremost, the feature telling us where to look for shards, or at least when we hit L3 and look at the map with select they show up there, or at least a general circle telling me the area. Same with Dead Drops, if they have to they could make it so you need 100% complete story mode to utilise it.

Ummmm, what? This sentence makes like no sense, what exactly are you complaining about?

Wow. Just did the mission
where you ride the top of the bus that Trish is driving. I'm playing on Hard and there were gang members everywhere.
SO much fun and it just got better and better when I turned the corner onto the bridge and
the two different gangs are blasting one another.
This game just keeps getting better and better.

Also...is there a way to tell which stunts you have completed?

Yay, got my platinum tonight. My second playthrough for the Evil trophies was so fast it was nuts, then I had to go back and play my first save for over an hour to get enough XP to finally finish my 'good' upgrades. Sucks how I could have done that part with hours less effort had I only known to go from hard to normal once I finished the game.

Ah well, first platinum woo! :D

Just finished the game, loved the ending, but can anyone tell me why I'm only at 90% complete? I've found all the collectables and have done all the stunts, so is the last 10% the evil powers (I was good on this playthrough)?

Now I'm off to read the spoilers about the end that I couldn't before!

Did you get all the good powers and complete all the side missions?

Yep, everything done as far as I can tell except that I didn't get any of the evil powers. I have the trophies for all districts taken over, all good powers powered up (I powered the neutral powers up completely, too) and all shards, dead drops and stunts done, so it can't be any of those.

Hm, dunno then. I don't think evil powers matter. You couldn't get all of them anyways since completing good missions locks out the bad ones (hence you can't get the power ups associated to those).

Of course! Can't believe I didn't think of that. So, its not the evil powers, what the hell could it be?! I just can't think of anything I've missed.

please add me to the inFAMOUS fan club :D I've had this game for over the week and didn't have time to play it. It is so awesome! I should have started playing when I got it!

Hmm dont know than might be a glitch?
Well, that would suck! :lol I plan on doing an evil playthrough on Hard, so I guess I'll see what happens then.

The only other thing, would trophies count? The only ones I missed that I could have gotten were the
100 bio-leech one (although that would have been difficult on a good playthrough) and kill 25 enemies from a moving train.
I can't imagine that would be it, but its the only thing besides a glitch I can think of.

Just to be sure, you positive u got 90% right? I mean, you saved the game, went to save file info and it says 90% right? You are NOT looking at the save file data without having saved the game manually, right?

In any case, I think something is wrong or not clear about how the game comes up with that percentage. I recall when I started a new game for my Evil pt, it gave me like 80% even tho I had yet to do my very first mission.

I'm 90% positive!

Just kidding! I did save manually after the last fight and it says 90% complete.

Hmm, that makes me wonder if trophies do count...

I'm missing 3 shards. I've spent hours searching and combed the city twice by going around each island clockwise and then going to all the docks extending from each. Ugh, I'm about to give up.
