No he was a terrible character in I1.

But his new characterization in the comics and what we've seen of him in I2 seemed to be more interesting and I liked it so far.

Mostly interested in his relationship with Robin and Kara.

Also, is there long hair Robin anywhere, that you've seen ? :p

I believe they've said some moves are altered visually, I think that's all they mean.

Like I have no idea, but let's say powergirl's vision is called "Power ray !" in the comics, maybe she gets that + a new effect even though it's basically Supergirl's heat vision.
 
I never expect much out of fighting game story modes. If it's as entertaining as a CW crossover episode, I'm satisfied. It's not something I expect to watch over and over.

His relationship with Robin
as Nightwing in the Story mode for a majority of it
is barebones really. Kara is a little bit more involved in the story and does play a somewhat pivotal role with some decent interaction with Supes but the story does very little to change or advance the plot IMO so it ends up loses some of its punch.

Remember this is coming from someone who thinks story modes in fighting games are borderline worthless so I might be a but biased. I am also not a big Superman fan myself either.

Could you check the prices on source crystals if the store is up yet.
 
The casuals will still love the shit out of the story.

Story wise with the tiny number of places on action makes it very limited so judging it on the same level as story driven games is insane

Also who you got to keep in mind they have to keep constant fights coming, so in a narrative perspective some will dampen and make the story feel weaker when in non FGs you can go the whole story without ever coming into physical contact with the key characters

But in terms of FGs there story is top of the chain (maybe till T7)

Even MK9s story wasn't that great and more people praised it because Nostalgia.

Once the story is no less then mediocre which I doubt, it will be fine

That beta was exclusive you pretty much only had a chance to get in from being a pro or buying a code. I only got in because I happened to refresh reddit the second codes got posted and that was after 2 weeks of checking Reddit every day for codes.

It's pretty goofy IMO. I didn't see the SO do anything in particular that stood out to me but I didn't really play that game that much besides the first few weeks.

There's also another ending you can watch but I have to finish up more of the story more fights with other characters to play them. Theres 76 fights in total and you finish the first playtrough doing 51 of them.

Lookingg at the picture I saw again, he has a staff stance as his trait, so it's Injustice 1 Nightwing as a NPC only fighter.

That's gonna piss some people off lol.

Yeah that's exactly what it is. I made a video of me sandbagging in the story mode against him trying to bait moves. I'll post it right now.
 
I'm happy because it makes sense for the story.

I also think Nightwings moveset is so ass that it can't be salavaged and should remain gone forever.

I do not have the equipment to tell if it is downsamplling. It looks pretty nice though.

Here is the video of Robin, it is still processing so quality is probably butts and I just used PS4 capture. Don't mind my horrible play I am just pressing buttons to get him to attack and counter me.

It's not quite the same thing, since
the Nightwing in story mode is still Damian Wayne. It's just that he uses the Injustice 1 move set for a fight instead of his new one.

Thanks for the vid. :) Can you maybe take a couple of 1080p, png screenshots? Then it's easier to tell. I's best if the game isn't in motion but the characters are just standing.
 
lol I like how the characters don't do the silly get knocked down and get back up real quick and fall over animation in story mode fights.

I think spite is the only reason that still exists in the game proper.

I guess it's not as bad then. Still annoying that you probably won't be able to use his moveset. Hopefully he's a future premier skin.

I really really doubt it.

That moveset is so unpolished.

At best it would be a
Gear ability that converts you into Nightiwing for just for fun player matches, but nothing serious.

Gear would be good. I somewhat doubt I though. The whole things just annoying. They might as well just make him a premier skin or something.
