Injustice 2 Roster Discussion & Speculation Thread

I'd be disappointed if neither Martian Manhunter nor Zatanna made the roster, of the original DLC characters. Martian Manhunter is more relevant today than he was the first time around, thanks to his appearances on Supergirl. I understand Dr. Fate has been teased a number of times now, likely as Zatanna's replacement, but the rumoured roster could benefit from more women. Surely both characters could be given unique movesets justifying their inclusion. Magic is such a significant part of the DC Universe, yet there aren't many confirmed characters who showcase this.
 
They could sell costumes and just randomize the items across the pool of stats they already have. Say you have a batman flashpoint DLC well just put that into the already available pool of costume parts but keep it with random attributes. Or do it like wow with transmog.

Er because if you can just buy the costume you want it defeats the ENTIRE purpose of the loot system that is in place.

They already know that the majority only care for them from a cosmetic standpoint, because they know it's flat out broken in "stats mode". So the cosmetic appeal is big.

And right now we have no idea how premier skins actually work, so saying "it's not too different" is sterile.

At this point, it's far more likely that some pieces are just inspired from existing costumes, than for them to just flat out offer entire costumes that "bypass" the armors.

And I guess it would make sense why they made the characters look much more like their movie counterparts. If you unlock the "man of steel" pieces then you directly your Cavill fantasy since he already looks like him enough. Same for Harley.

It's possible they sell "movie crates" where you randomly get movie pieces of all characters.

If you could mix and match them with the rest, it'd be great though. It's possible they only let you use them if you get full sets though.
 
I think they should only sell premier skins and keep the other stuff like Suicide Squad Harley free. I know i'm being dumb for even imagining that especially since it's WB and they'll surely sell us a shit ton of DLC, but if they're serious about the gear system they should keep it available to everyone, even if it's same stats but different looks. Hell, they should add new gear with updates every now and then. Support it the right way and this game can be played for a long time. Sell lootboxes, characters and premier skins, make money that way.
 
My point is that you can't "sell" SS Harley.

Because 99% of all Harley players would suddenly use that. It kills not only the concept of the game, but also their profits, because instead of having the rare "SS loot", you have everybody just buying that.

I am still pretty sure they'll sell "movie crates" and make sure the unpopular characters are in it too :p . They wouldn't make it too easy !

I don't mind that to be honest, if you have to grind to get specific sets. It makes them more unique than everybody playing that one popular set.

If you can recolor / mix and match them it'd be perfect but i'm not sure they can, from a licensing standpoint.

Remember first and foremost this entire system is based off Gacha games.
 
How different could alternate full costumes they be from the premier skins? Other than not needing re-recorded voice lines or additional moves? They would just be premier skins without the extra enhancements.

Sure they could. What details do you have on how they plan to monetize the loot?

Furthermore, not everyone wants that outfit. Even if they did, you're saying they wouldn't mind selling it to 99% of Harley players? I put nothing past them in terms of monetization. It's entirely possible they could sell a few iconic full outfits not available in game via individual part drops, but only as a set like the premier skins (however they are implemented), but without new voices or dialogue.

You don't know if they have access to their own armors or not, if they can use the original characters' sets safe for iconic costume parts and emblems/colors.

You see those as costumes, but what they might be is "lazy new characters" as in they don't have to make new movesets.

That's entirely different. Because we don't know if those skins mean those characters will look the same for everybody or not.

Therefore don't use this as an argument since we lack information, thank you.

I dunno man, if someone buys a set i'd imagine they would want it right away. I know i'd be pissed if i paid 5 bucks and then only get the gear by chance. And who knows how much there is, might take for ever to get the thing you paid for.

Yeah, that would not be good. If you bought a premier set, it should be available to you right away.

I've been playing Injustice 1.

The Superman hate is really really strong in this game.

He's not even the most broken character. =( Got a lot of hate mail.
 
Hoping WW and Grod get added to the beta.

I played a lot of WW in INjustice 1, and she seems the most changed out of the legacy characters so far. In fact she seems way different. Hope they do a similar redesign to Flash, dude needs it.

Grodd because he seems way more interesting then any of the other new characters.

Both BB and Deadshot look boring.
 
Question, there is something I HATE about Injustice, it's how shitty the KO animations are.

They don't actually get "k'o"'d. I'd be fine with that if they kneeled after laying down.

But they stand up entirely, then fall again. It's retarded. Nobody likes it.

Why is it still there ? Can't be a requirement from WB, as I said if it was, they could just have the characters kneel directly after laying down instead of doing a full stand up then fall twice in a row.

Question for people who preordered the Ultimate edition on Amazon - do you have a delivery date? I got mine in when they went live and I have "we need a little more time" message. With Prime I get games on release day, so this is odd for me to see.

Nothing to worry about there. It will get updated as the release date gets closer.
 
Well, maybe it will be a little bit later. They typically put out stuff very early morning and the game site went live right at this time.
 
I'm not sure if the Robin trailer is anything to go by. That was a special case as part of their stream, what we're getting today is just a trailer.

Oh well, we will find out soon
 
In the past on MK they had released stuff about 8 am central, which was the time when the new story trailer and website launched as people were expecting, so it was a reasonable guess, but maybe their character reveals will be later on.
