Injustice 2 Roster Discussion & Speculation Thread

Warner Archive has just announced a DVD release for the first season of Static Shock.

Warner Archive has announced that on March 28th they will release Static Shock - The Complete 1st Season on DVD. Our thanks to reader Jackson Burnett for the heads-up. This new manufacture on demand title will cost $24.99 SRP.

I'm posting this here because this announcement lends weight to the idea that Static might make an appearance in Injustice 2. If WB have plans to revisit the character, then it stands to reason that an appearance in Injustice 2 might also generate renewed interest.
 
Wow I guess you guys are right.

They can't afford the movie actors safe for Momoa (he's a nobody).

It would make perfect sense why they made Superman look like Cavill so much despite it not being the case initially.

Now they can just release a costume and call it a day.
 
I'd actually dig a lot of those premium skins, and a lot of them are no-brainers if they turn out to be true. Bizarro for Superman? Red Arrow for Green Arrow? Super easy way to get more characters in the game without actually having them be new characters.


I wager this "leak" is fake, though. I doubt Starfire and Red Hood are on the base roster, and that the base roster is 30 and not 28. Starfire and Red Hood could be DLC, with Starfire being the more likely candidate.

I don't agree; although Batwoman's fighting styles have a heavier military background, there's not much in Batman's move list that I'd argue Batwoman couldn't do. Hal Jordan and John Stewart have significantly different constructs and Supergirl and Power Girl also differ in their fighting styles and approach to combat. The potential of Premier Skins shouldn't be limited by the base character's gender. I'm sure NRS are capable of finding a solution to address the concerns people might have about different models.

Agreed. Momoa is hardly a nobody. He does great things for his fans and appears genuinely down to earth, but I don't see NRS using the exact likeness of the JL crew; Mamoa included. The costs involved are probably far higher than the revenue the DLC would generate. The Arrow-Verse actors are going to be far cheaper to use for their likeness and also have the advantage of coming with an in-built fanbase.
 
Any Deathstorm skin better be Black Lantern Firestorm or the Crime Scene version from Earth 3 and not the crappy doppelganger version from the Flash tv show.

Yup. Totally purchased. Will pre order when I get home this evening.

As for the skins, I'm iffy on the list. For one, it seems paltry. And the abilities of a few characters don't match up with their "base".

However, I do recall them saying the roster would start out in the low 30's, so the extra 2 characters make sense, especially since they weren't in the fist game and are highly requested.
 
Batwoman for Batman would be great, but it basically confirms the "leak" as fake. That would cause a plethora of hit box issues.

I dont get why this cant work. People acting like Batman is fat af.

They can easily replace Batmans big chest with Batwomans....big chest.

It sounds like all this weird animosity towards Starfire fans comes from people that only know the 2003 series. The Teen Titans comics have had really amazing runs that span over decades and Starfire is a major player across it all with great characterization and a great backstory.

I really don't understand the weird hostility some of you have with demeaning people that want the Titans "just because of the 2003 series" yet most of you clamor towards Red Hood, because we need another gun guy apparently.

I took that post I was responding to as meaning people only want Starfire for the T&A, which I asked if anyone legitimately wanted full on sexy Starfire?
Because even people that like classic Starfire don't make a big deal about it.

(the little bit I read I hated the original New 52 Starfire though)

All the comments to people wanting Starfire and Beast Boy amount to "you only want them because of the 2003 tv series." It's somewhat insulting, as if they must not know much about DC to want this character you don't. Or they must be of a lower caliber of knowledge than yourself in some way.

There was also some Prince music during key Joker scenes in Batman (1989). I pray that we do get Joker. I wanna see his design so badly.
 
Next reveal is tomorrow.

My prediction: Shattered Alliances Part 2, Scarecrow shows up, let's Superman/Batman hallucinate and that's how they'll reveal The Joker. The only gameplay we'll see of Scarecrow is his Super, no Joker gameplay at all, just him laughing or shown in a Flashback.
 
I was thinking Scarecrow based on the mobile game reveal, but Boon talking of a deep cut makes me think it's Dr. Fate.
 
Someones posting on reddit claiming the leak yesterday was fake and he has real info. He said these are premier skins or dlc or base roster he isn't sure.

•Black Adam •Ocean Master •A much more thin-framed Flash, could be Grant Gustin's rumored Premier Skin. •Black Siren •Red Hood •Blackfire/Starfire. The coloring was a little odd, so I'm not entirely sure. •Beast Boy •Spawn. I'm pretty confident that Spawn is DLC. •The Comedian •John Constantine •Clayface •Owlman? The picture was darkly shaded, but it looked like either Owlman's pre-armor costume or Nite-Owl. •Black Beetle


I don't think it's true but it's fun to pretend.

Looks like tomorrows reveal is gonna be a new fighter. Its either Scarecrow, Dr. Fate, Firestorm or Captain Cold.

My guess is Scarecrow since they showed him off in the mobile game this week.

Boon said no in his own way to it being Firestorm lol. Same with Flash, that he isn't "deep" enough in the DC roster to be who he's talking about. I definitely think it's going to be Dr. Fate tomorrow! If it's Scarecrow then I will laugh.

Also I'm about 99% sure now with all of Boon's Constantine references that he will be DLC.

Out of all the watchman characters, The Comedian would be so god damn stupid.

If they absolutely have to go down that route, it has to be either Dr M or Rorschach.

His super could be getting thrown out of a window it could tie into that stupid Button event DC is pushing.
