Injustice 2 Roster Discussion & Speculation Thread

He's my favorite of the Robins (Damien is second but his characterization in this game series sucks) and I love the character of Red Hood. So basically, yeah, because Batman.
 
Like I said, I like the character story wise, but I feel that he'd be better suited for I3 as a deadshot replacement. But to each their own.

I think, like Damien in I2, there can be a way to incorporate his Robin years while still having similarities to another character. Without Deathstroke, Damien is the new "sword dude", but he has enough Robin moves to justify being a separate character. I think, or at least hope, the same can happen with Red Hood.
 
Please no red hood. Talk about useless when the Batman roster is already really well represented.

I would honestly like to see more variety.
 
I'd guess we get a talon sooner than red hood.

The lists are fine but too safe, there's always the one stupid/out of left field character.

I'm guessing trigon or brother blood. They haven't done anything with blood since Scarlett.
 
I'm kinda 50/50 on if Static will be one of the 9 DLC characters. On one hand, he was the 2nd most requested character for Injustice 1 DLC (behind only Zatanna). But on the flip side, the whole Milestone ownership thing could get dicey unless DC already worked things out on that front for Young Justice Season 3. It could really go either way. But if it wasn't for the Milestone thing, I'd say that Static is a safe bet for being amongst the 9 DLC characters (not counting Darkseid in that 9).

DC has claimed several times, the last time being last year, and by Jim Lee no less, that they've worked something out with Milestone, but they've said nothing since the start of Rebirth. But there is the fact that Static's DC Icons figure as well as several Milestone Omnibus' have been quietly delayed and pushed back from their initial release dates.

Which leads me to believe that it the legal stuff surrounding Static was worked out for the sake of Young Justice Season 3, seeing as the show had quite a few Milestone characters. This could work in favor of Injustice 2.

So yeah, in that case, my hope for Static being DLC skyrocketed.

Feels like Starfire is a very safe bet, she's super popular and they're not going to have all nine DLC characters be men.

I could honestly see that happening, & I'd be more than okay with it. You have your fan requests (Static, Starfire, Constantine, Red Hood, Black Manta), your guests (Sub Zero & Spawn), & a curve-ball (Detective Chimp). I'm not sure if Watchmen really counts as a guest anymore since they're now part of the DC Universe as of Rebirth.

I suspect some Watchmen event will come out of The Button later this year, they aren't really guest characters but I think in public consciousness they're still considered a separate thing. But DC can do whatever they want with them, so no rights hold ups, make for good inclusion and marketing. Constantine, Black Manta and Static are all active in upcoming DC properties too. Red Hood, the Batfans are clamoring for him.

I'd love for Detective Chimp and I think there'll be a curve-ball, but probably not him. Now, speaking of curve-balls...

I would be totally fine with this DLC list lol.
 
I think that is a pretty realistic list, but it does seem too male dominated. I kinda doubt Starfire will be the only female character. Maybe the wild card will be Circe or Star Saphire.

Not familiar with that, but it looks like some good variety. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of the stages as much as the characters. From the Beta, I've been really impressed with the level of detail in all of them, especially the stuff going on in the background. There are so many cool little touches.

People give NRS crap about their "stiff" animations and faces, but I think it's largely unwarranted for this game so far. It's really looking fantastic overall. My only nitpick/request is I'd love to see the intro/outro and transitions running at 60 fps, not 30, but I always assumed it was a console hardware limitation. With Pro and Scorpio, I'd love for the extra power to allow that.

While the Pro/Scorpio most likely could, I don't think they'll go for that. The uneven FPS could potentially introduce issues in online play.

Much safer to just run it at a higher resolution and call it a day.
 
Really hope we see all these mobile stages in the game.

A outside snow fortress and a middle eastern Kahndaq stage would bring a great variety of stages to the game.
 
There are some other locations used as background art in the mobile game, which I'm hoping also appear as playable stages.

Actually, Jason's combat prowess goes beyond just guns, especially if they go with his current incarnation who's a mystic monk ala Liu Kang/Kung Lao besides his skill with regular weapons. If they give more weight to his background as Martial Artist and spiced it up with his guns (so pretty much the opposite of Deadshot) he can brings an interesting moveset to the table.

But the thing I find more interesting is the perspective he can bring to the plot. Where would his loyalties lie? With Bruce or with Clark? Would he be satisfied with the Regime or he would he join the Insurgency?
 
Happy they will show off wonder woman, she was one of my most played characters in the first one and want to see what she's like.
