I really think Sub Zero will be MK's guest character. Seems like a lot of people don't want this though, but it seems unlikely that they'd go with Scorpion twice in a row.
I just find him to be a boring character. I just saw him in a fighting game and he doesn't add anything. If we have to have an MK guest I'd rather get someone like Rain or Noob.

Johnny Cage is the MK guest I want most, purely for his unrivalled charisma. He has the potential to deliver in spades. Especially if his gear includes pieces from other MK characters' costumes however unlikely.
Having him be able to be a mish-mash cosplay of all MK characters would be great. They could make some of the gear abilities moves from other characters, too.
Yep DLC & Premier skins are where the excitement and optimism is now. There are so many possibilities.

I hope so too. Not much has been said about whether there'll be Premier Skins available to purchase on Day-1 or unlock. We only know of the three included with the Ultimate Editon pre-orders and the mobile game unlock, "officially". I don't expect them to launch the game without content to purchase via Source Crystals:

Exactly. It doesn't make much sense from a business perspective to offer only one Premier Skin for purchase. Grid is only available via the mobile app, so unless John Stewart, Power Girl and Reverse-Flash can be purchased on Day-1, outside of the Ultimate Edition, we're going to see more Premier Skins alongside Mr Freeze at launch.

I originally preordered the physical edition, but decided I'd rather have it digitally. I'm going to keep my original preorder just on the off chance it arrives early and return it after launch.

I think most people would prefer not to have guest characters over a unique DC character, but unfortunately, the reality is that guest characters sell significantly better and help fund more DLC. Guest characters are happening whether we want them or not.
I agree drew713 I'd prefer none, but since it's a sure thing I'd like Noob. Sub Zero would probably help sell more copies though due to his familiarity.

Nah, it's ridiculous that this has become a thing. Show a product's contents if you're selling it. Withholding product information sucks.
I really appreciate how KOF handled their recent DLC. They did their teases, got people talking, showed thew actual content, then put it up for sale, with even a little PS+ discount on top. None of this pay fox a mystery box crap. It's especially egregious when you put up two choices of packages and expect people to make an informed decision with no information on how the included content differs.
I don't want any corny ass guest characters in this game

I agree, but I think that we're getting silhouettes. The characters of Kombat Pack 1 in MKX were leaked, so it forced NRS' hand and they showed every character in a teaser trailer. They did the same thing with Kombat Pack 2; first silhouettes and then proper reveals in a teaser, though that time they weren't leaked.
I'd be pleasantly surprised if we got more than one character+silhouettes tomorrow.

I've got nothing against guest characters, but I would prefer if the slot was used on a character from the DC universe.
This is a good question that I think we will get a definite answer to next week in the gear stream. I want to say some of the "towers" in the Multiverse​ are static (offline) and will probably offer their own gear rewards, where as some are kind of like the living towers from MKX and do require an internet connection however I don't believe you have to have plus/live for those. Can anyone confirm?
Edit: also on the topic of guest characters, my friend and I had a very long argument about this lol. He is a casual player and said his favorite thing about MKX WAS the guest characters which disgusted me hahaha. So you can see why they're doing it, casuals drop money like crazy on them. Personally, I'd be fine without them. Oh, and he also said fatalities should be in Injustice. At this moment I chose random select in I1 and beat him to a pulp to pay for his transgressions.

I'm generally against guest characters in fighting games. That said, I am totally for guest characters in IJ2--so long as they're comic book characters. We probably will get an MK guest character, so whatever--but, if we do get characters like Spawn, Judge Dredd or Hellboy in IJ2, then that would be pretty cool for a comic book fighting game.
I'm excited to see if they do include Spawn. There's​ so much cool stuff they can do with his cape!
I'll be sure to keep an eye out for that stream. How difficult were the living towers on MKX?
Another way to getting around guests characters is by creating MK inspired gear. I think that could work out well. Though, I think the guest characters are inevitable.

I personally don't care about guest characters but since that we are gettinf some, I'd like to see Buffy and Silk Spectre (talk about dreaming, right?).
I'm waiting to see who's the first DLC so then I'll know which version pre-order (I know that I could buy the DLC characters down the road but if tomorrow they unveil something that I like I'll pull the trigger for the Deluxe or Ultimate edition).

I don't remember them being TOO bad but I do believe there were a few I had difficulty with. It was mostly because I didn't really care about the rewards so I didn't try hard enough I think lol. This time we're getting loot boxes and more than likely premiere skins so I'm going to work my ass off.
On a side note, I'm happy the game isn't region locked. Maybe I can play IrishMantis and get better (after I get bodied of course)
