UPDATE:

need a name for my new pet:
6srkmr.jpg

I just moved into a brand new building (an old warehouse that got renovated) and all sorts of creepy crawlers are coming out. The landlord said she is going to have the exterminator come out but asked me to send pictures of whatever we catch. Most things I could ID, but I have no idea what the hell this is. It's about 1-2mm smooth black with a domed back. Does not appear to fly and I couldn't tell or if it was my imagination but might have had ladybug like spots on the back that were also very dark. Located in Virginia.

Just be glad it's not a tick. I HATE having a tick on me. I have a huge field beside my house and if I ever cut my grass next to it or step one foot in there, I come out with at least one tick on my leg or something. Freaks me out.

No idea, what a weird bug. It remind me of the bugs Shino used in Naruto...!? You should stomp the hell of that thing right now, while you still have a chance!!

why did I have to move here...
Mantises are completely harmless to humans. You could scoop one up in your hand and nothing bad would befall you.

And speaking of mantises, does anybody know what this is?

edit: Okay, not actually spiders.

It's not a spider neither a wasp, it's a soda drink.
taken from the wikipedia article:
"Tarantula hawks belong to any of the many species in the genera Pepsis"

Do your research and take good care of it, otherwise the poor thing would be better off roaming around eating your local infestation.
