Sources have revealed that Ubisoft is now “rather skittish” when it comes to announcing and giving dates to their upcoming titles and will be more hesitant moving forward. With games like Skull and Bones being delayed 6 times publically and Beyond Good and Evil is in development for well… Forever, it’s not surprising if such a decision has been made.
As for surprises, we’ve been told that there is a single-player game planned to be announced for a neglected franchise – But unfortunately, it’s not Rayman.
With everything we know so far, here’s what we think is a guarantee for the Ubisoft E3 Showcase, unless the games have been released prior to the show:
- Just Dance 2024
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage
- Assassin’s Creed Nexus
- The Division Heartland
- XDefiant
- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
- Skull & Bones
- The Crew: Motorfest
- Mario: Sparks of Hope DLC 2 (DLC 1 The Tower of Doom to be announced and released soon)
As for games like Beyond Good and Evil 2, Splinter Cell Remake, Massive Entertainment’s Star Wars game, Far Cry 7, and more, we strongly believe that these will all be announced at a later point. With the exception of Beyond Good and Evil 2, all of these projects are very early in development, so if they are at the event, I wouldn’t expect anything more than a cinematic trailer.
As for other games like the Immortals Fenyx Rising sequel, codenamed Oxygen, and the next Ghost Recon titles, codenamed Over, details on those titles are unclear.
What to Expect From Ubisoft at E3 2023
CEO Yves Guillemot announced that Ubisoft will be at E3 in 2023 and "will have a lot of things to show".
