It's been a while since I bought anything off of eBay, but when I used to do it PayPal would offer "insurance" at an added cost so that I could get my money returned if a seller didn't come through.

I bought a phone this week and don't really wanna risk $85 on the seller who only has 7-10 positive feedbacks, but PayPal isn't showing me any options for insurance. It just sends me to an invoice page with a "Pay" button. Anybody know how I can add on insurance? Or did Paypal just stop doing it?

This guy doesn't look like a scammer....his eBay ID is years old so it's probably just an infrequent buyer/seller looking to ditch his used phone. All the same I'd prefer if I could insure the purchase for another 5 bucks. Going through PayPal's site I can't find anything about this option.....maybe they have phased it out. Now they are pushing some "Buyer Protection Program", but it requires 50+ feedback with 98%+ positive for a seller to join up, so I guess this wouldn't be eligible.
