Seems like another great value from Intel. But it also seems kind of redundant if it's only $30 cheaper than the B580.

With that said, the B580 has been absolutely impossible to find at MSRP since launch, and if the B570 follows suite then what's even the point of these cards?

Yep, built a new PC when the 30 series came out. Waited like 6 months for a 3080 Ti from EVGA...but at least EVGA had queues!
And random discount coupons. I was able get a 3080ti FTW hybrid AIO version for ~$20 less than the base model's MSRP. It took the sting out of buying the more expensive model.

totally agree. unless the B570 is already slated for some big purchase order, I don't see why they'd bother.

i'm way more curious to see if they can scale battlemage up to a credible option at the $400 range.

Reviews are good but the obvious point we will be seeing is that B580 is only $30 more because Intel is taking a bath pushing out that chip. If they didn’t need to build market share and were in such dire situation, it would be more. This B570 is closer to the “real” long term price of this line of chips. If Intel establishes a substantial foothold (or otherwise can’t continue subsidizing the B580) we will see that chip cost increase while the B570 sees minimal change in price.

Seems like a decent card. Just sad Intel didn't believe in Battlemage to have stable stock. I feel by time (Or if) they ramp up production, it won't matter anymore as AMD and Nvidia will have their "next-gen" offerings out by that time. Especially if AMD is serious about gaining marketshare. We'll see though.
