Intel ousts its chief engineer, shakes up technical group after delays

godhandiscen

There are millions of whiny 5-year olds on Earth, and I AM THEIR KING.
Intel is looking to restructure in order to combat AMD. I always assumed that Jim Keller resigning from Intel was the only major change that would come from all of this, but today they fired their Chief Engineer; someone they hired from Qualcomm to help them go into mobile & IoT markets.

Also, it looks like they promoted from within Ann Kelleher, who is the most accomplished engineer Intel has left, and a diehard of the company who has been working there for over two decades.

Edit: please someone switch the title to “Intel ousts their Chief Engineer”

I mean it could be up to two years between when AMD launched support for PCIE 4.0 versus to when Intel finally releases Rocket Lake which will theoretically support it.

That just seems inexcusable to me.

I have a friend who worked there that used to tell me horror stories. They really just need to clean house and replace the entire executive/ HR team.
