Looks like a camera x projector. Obviously fake too, UMD drive gives it away, nevermind what A_lee found. Can you imagine how disgusting would UMD movies look on a big screen? Yeah.

we all knew it was a fake, demi...just commenting on the weird/bad/good 'features' that the creator added

That looks kinda cool, but it's obviously fake (memory card slots more prominent than memory stick slots? BR disk in a caddy? Yeah right). The thing is, I doubt the PS3 design will be anything like this. They have PSP, and I expect the PS3 design to somehow follow the guidelines set by PSP. This, no matter how nice it looks, would be a huge deviation

NO, IT WASN'T.

It was shown on a meeting and then was let go for everyone to see. Call it leak or whatever you want, the design looked fairly similar to the real thing.

Can you imagine how disgusting would UMD movies look on a big screen? Yeah.

If UMD movies are indeed encoded in regular DVD-like 480p, they would look fine. If they are encoded in native PSP resolution, then probably not. I don't think anyone has managed to prove either way yet, though.

I doubt they are encoded at 480p...in any case, movies filmed in scope are cropped to fit the PSP's screen, so you'd have to be pretty dumb to choose UMD over DVD.

I used to doubt it but when I thought about it, I can't see why they wouldn't be. 1.8GB is more than enough for a 480p encoded movie.

Besides, if there would be an UMD drive on PS3 (which I highly doubt), I'd think the main reason for including it would be to play PSP games, not movies.

Just because it uses photoshop effects and stuff doesn't mean it's 'fake'. Isn't photoshop a standard industry program? That's teh thing with todays computing - the general public has access to many of the powerful tools designers use.I'm not saying that the design or pic is real, but just saying is all.

I hope sony at least change the damn controller, the DS1 or 2 is completely outdated from a design point of view, the damn analog sticks are also the worse of this gen too, please change them.....
