interviews with famous people

Old episodes of the Dick Cavett show on YT are a treasure trove of encapsulated 1960s/70s culture. You can suss out a lot of the nuances of where people were at when you listen to them talk that you wouldn't get from, say, a Wikipedia article.
PREACH.

The guy just has an amazing, easygoing interview style that seems to make all his guests very comfortable.

I have watched some of them multiple times -- John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, Janis Joplin, etc.

What you're saying is you hate female journalists?
I almost feel bad for that lady. I have never seen someone be so thoroughly embarrassed in an interview. It's her own fault, though -- she was very aggressive (to the point where her emotions were taking over her ability for logic and reasoning), and apparently she either underestimated or didn't fully research who she was going up against.

She is a decent reporter compared to a lot od others in the UK media, this was not her best moment.

Pushing ideology is not good journalism.

Yeah it seems like she's actually a very smart woman and a good journalist. But... "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes" as the kids say.

Speaking of Channel 4...

... Isn't this the same journalist that gets chewed out by Robert Downey Jr?

Youtube every single interview with Craig Ferguson and a woman.

Study. Take notes. You're welcome.

I lost faith in late night when his show was pulled. And it was obvious lack of marketing. There were nights where they never ran ads for the show beforehand and Ferguson joked a few times with "They're going to make sure my ratings go lower" jibes at CBS. He was never keen on covering current issues and following the status quo. His show was like the good 'ol late night days. It was just a fun time to watch.

Ferguson was too good for us

This is an intriguing interview with the GPT3 advanced language AI portraying John A. Macdonald, Canada's first Prime Minister.

What's brilliant about this interview is that the answers seem like a well done self aware portrayal by a skilled actor versed in Canadian history, cultural cues, figures of speech, perceptions and humour.

This answer made me laugh hard. Very clever response.

Canadaland: What do you think of the current Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau?

Sir John: I’m not as smart as the original Mr. Macdonald, but if I knew as much as he did I would probably agree with him. But I don’t agree with him.

Here is a 1952 interview with the British philosopher, Bertrand Russell. Amazingly, his grandfather was born during the French Revolution in the late 1700s.

Outside of Conan way back in the day he’s the only one I ever regularly watched.

Discovered this one recently about the controversy of Frank Darabont being kicked out of The Walking Dead after the massive success of season 1.
