KOTOR is on sale for $4.99!
Boo, iPad 2 and up only. (Yes, I know my iPad is 3 years old)
KOTOR is on sale for $4.99!
It's out 11th, and from what I hear the original TWD app will be updated to add the new episode as an IAP.
iPad 2 support for Deus Ex is coming soon as per the devs comments.
Ahhh... Well, I can tell you this particular malfunction is exclusive to iOS 7, so it's not exactly a design flaw... These are the trials and tribulations of those who dare reach into Apple Pandora's box early, right? Not sure about iCloud but can at least of ingame and delete the downloaded IAP episodes to conserve space.
No problem about the OP.
But I can't reach an options screen to turn off Everyplay. You don't have an options screen on the main login menu (design flaw) and if I log in, I'm put into combat phase automatically as my commander and game is fetched and then the game crashes. Halp!
I only have $6.90 to spend so I'm debating between getting Tiny Thief or saving for Breach & Clear
Wish Plants vs Zombies 2 was not a F2P game. Getting to the pirates section was a pain of replaying a bunch of levels over and over again to collect enough stars to get there. Or pay $5 to get through. Plants that were free in the original game now cost extra too. All of this just bogs down what is an otherwise great game. Do I expect them to make truckloads of money this way? Yes. Do I have to like it? No.
STAR WARS KOTOR is 50% off
Normally I'd feel the same way you do, but I'll tell why that is a fair question: not everyone has a credit card linked to iTunes, sometimes you just have a few $ left on your account and there are plenty of people who have their main account linked to an AppStore region which prevents them to acquire new iTunes $ cards in a matter of minutes. So it's more a matter of "don't wanna waste my last few $ buying this when I could buy that... which one is better? Is cheap game X worth it?".
.
Do you need to still have ep5 on the TWD app to get your save working with 400 days?
Also, after having played 400 will I be able to delete the app till Season 2 comes around? Are there cloud saves? Or something I could back up via iFunBox?
You can play it without a save game if you install TWD, it requires episode 1 as on other platforms and that one's included and free by default.I would like some more info about this too. I think I had to delete my save (but I MIGHT have backed it up, not sure), so if this needs a save and the other DLCs installed I think I'll just skip, it'll take hours to re-download all that stuff again.
Apple REALLY need to sort something out about save backups, there are too many long games around now and space is at too much of a premium. I love these big experiences (30 hours in KOTOR yo, 20 in XCOM so far) but I hate how they have to stay on the device all the time for fear of losing saves.
That's the charm of the series.
btw, how does it compare to 2? I haven't bought 3 yet. cause I still haven't completed 3 yet
how much room do i need for KOTOR on ipad?
It runs fine on mini right?
At least 2.5 gigs iirc. Runs great on iPad 2 so I would assume the mini too.
You were talking about not having the correct character for defeating a particular boss earlier in the thread. Is there any advice you can give to someone who hasn't played previously about how to make sure I won't have the same problems? Is it a skill I should learn or more dramatic than that?
Is kotor likely to go lower ($2.99, $0.99, etc) by the end of the year? I am not too familiar with the price reduction trends of higher profile, $9.99+ iOS releases.

1) Even in silence mode, you can hear music from iPhone (I know there is a mute button, but it's not cool in the middle of the night, exlecially when you wake up wife).

How was Ravenmark scourge of something? It's $5 now

So can someone explain what Tiny Thief gameplay is? Description is a bit vague, is it a stealth puzzler with point & click controls?

Probably my favorite TBS game on iOS. Lots of content. Definitely worth it.
Cheers, guys! The sale for Scourge of Estellion goes on until 11:59PM on the 17th, so spread the word. Or if you don't want to spend the fiver, grab Mercenaries instead.Recommended/10

It'll probably go to $1 before the year is out so if you're not in a rush to get it then I would suggest to wait it out.
Tiny Thief is super polished and cute, but I wish it was harder.
Absolutely breezed through the first ten levels with little to no thinking.
This game has one characteristic I now look forward EVERY async game...you can tell at a glance the situation and you do not have to review several turns...mandatory to have multiple games going on (that's why I stopped playing Ascension after almost 1 year no stop, and that's why I do not like Eclipse or Agricola).
Not sure I follow what you mean exactly. You mean it's easy to understand what the opponent did in their last turn?
Dumb question time: I deleted a game, let's say NBA Jam, which I completed. It is backed up in iCloud. When I re-download it, it doesn't recognize that I've ever played it. Am I doing something wrong, or does iCloud not do what I think it does?
Girls Who Like Robots has gone free.
If you see it in the Documents part of the iCloud thing, it should do.
If you see it just in the backup part...no.
It just means that if you RESTORE the WHOLE backup, you will have the game with the save, at the date of the backup.
PERSONAL RANT: As Apple already store individually app's data in the whole backup...I always wondered why in the world they had a SEPARATE iCloud documents thing.
As they already had the data in the backup...they could support 'iCloud sync' for EVERY APP.
Or, if not iCloud sync between devices because of space restrictions, at least allow us to pull once data from cloud in a installed app.
This would solve immediately at least the problem 'I want to delete this big game but I do not want to lose the save for possible future expansions' in games that doesn't support iCloud by their own.
I never udnerstood why Apple took that (convoluted) route.
My personal number one wish for future iOS is that they solve precisly that problem, and they already have everything set (since a year, actually).
I even noticed that if you delete an app from iPhone, the data part of it store in the iCloud backup survives even several successive backups (without the app installed)..but if you resintall it, it doesn't pull the data (obviously).
Girls Who Like Robots has gone free.
I almost bought this just a couple days ago. It's supposed to be quite good. Good timing.
They can always improve the system, and I hope one day we have a really flexible on the fly upload/download of cloud saves (we do already technically, but it's dependant on developers developers..). From Apple's current position, they've already provided a simple answer with the current iCloud Documents & Data solution. It would be convoluted doing it the way you ask from a backup perspective (actual backups of data vs a save game manager). They would have to fundamentally alter the way that backups are handled which I think is the wrong way to go (I want my backups ''stored in a drawer'' inaccessible to tampering unless I need to reinstall).
Maybe we can get an iCloud Documents & Data Manager app Apple? That can access all installed apps' 'Documents' folders and upload/download those to and from the cloud? Jailbreakers can do that so if anything steal that feature. That'd be sweet.
Worms 3 coming to mobile later this year, hopefully multiplayer doesn't suck like 2:
