Uh.
It is now stupid easy to get GBA games on your iPhone without jailbreaking. TA has the details.
Just tried it and it is simple and very fast.
Didn't install for me- stops around 80%. Am I doing it wrong, or is this already borked?
Wait, does this work on iOS 6? Maybe I should read...
For the ones interested, Breach&Clear is out.

I think I'll pass...I'm full of TBS for now and I've still XCOM to complete (which unfortunately, as much as I love the 'gameplay' part, I really hate the management part so it became really boring to me).
I wouldn't be surprised if it were as early as tomorrow! Deleted it as soon as I tried it. It even lets you download ROMs directly to your phone, kind of neat, but also made me pretty nervous.
Bombastic action theme tune playing throughout the entire gameplay segment? That's a bit chuckle worthy and not very fitting.
The GBA emulator is exactly the same that was hidden in that baby names app, which means poor controls and stuttering audio. Meh.
I can't get the gba emu to install at all. I wonder if it's due to my iphone already being jailbroken? It gets to 80 percent and then fails.
What other async games do you recommend? Or even turn based strategy for that matter? If it's free that would be a bonus as well.Having sooooo much fun with this little gem!!!

why does that make you nervous? you think Apple is going to brick your phone? and it doesn't let you download roms, if you click the little button it just inputs a google search for you. you have to actively click on something, that's where things would be of questionable legality.
Just jailbreak folks if you need gba emulators so bad. it's literally a 1 click process these days.
Or was it 2?

thread going way too slow, since it was blazing when I was gone
Don't recall any real must have reason to update past 6 lol.Unless you're on 6.1.2 or earlier you can no longer jailbreak.Until the next jailbreak comes out.
We just released an update for Swords & Arrows:
- Adding in-game hints & help (can be turned on & off in "Options").
- Adding shiny new checkboxes to the "Options"-view.
- Adding the option for you to turn off turn timeouts when playing with friends.
- Giving the game a new notification sound.
- Improving the friends-list when you invite friends for a match.
- Fixing various bugs.

Got lots of other improvements and additions in the works, so stay tuned! Also, we recently passed 1000 players (which feels like a big deal to us, at least!), so big thanks to all of my fellow NeoGAFers for trying out our game!

exactly my thoughts.. I have very little time for async play these days
It's a quarter past five. The UK store never updates at this time. I know you're talking about New Zealand. I know that it releasing in New Zealand now, means it'll be up on the UK store at midnight. It's always been this way, it'll always be this way. I've been through it hundreds of times. For the ones interested, Breach&Clear is out.

With all that said, why did I immediately fire up the app store and search for the game when I read your post? Will I ever learn?

So don't bullshit me guys. Is Lesabel worth getting or is it a janky glitch mess?
Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards was first released by Sierra On-Line in 1987 and be-came an international phenomenon. The lovable loser Larry Laffer -- a 40-year-old virgin in pursuit of losing his vir….um, finding true love -- and risqué humor were unlike anything anyone had ever seen or played.
Now Larry’s original creator, the world-famous game designer Al Lowe, has teamed up with Sierra Vet-eran Josh Mandel, to bring this amazing, perverted game back to life – updated and expanded in every way imaginable! All we kept from the original game is the plot. EVERYTHING else is fresh and new including:
•Incredibly lush new high-res graphics! Explore all the seedy sights and sounds of Lost Wages, where fortunes and reputations go to die!
•A brand new musical score by Grammy-nominated and BAFTA Award-winning composer Austin Wintory! Fresh from completing the musical score to Journey (available for download on the PS3), Austin composed the best music Leisure Suit Larry has ever heard!
•Everything in the game was rebuilt from the ground up, including all hand-painted backgrounds, characters, and state-of-the-art 2D animation!
•Thousands of hilarious new lines, gags, jokes, and dialogues, written by Al’s old Sierra partner, Josh Mandel (aka the voice of King Graham from King’s Quest)!
•New characters, new locations, new puzzles, and a major new love interest for Larry!

We gave away the final $500k of cash prizes in Turbo Racing League today in the winners tournament. The $250k top prize was won by the 18 year old depicted below.
Was kind of hoping a GAFfer would be in the mix of finalists, but nobody here seemed to want to try out for it so... oh well :/

It just reminded me of all the contests I saw as a kid that tied into a big blockbuster release. The bigger the movie, the less of a chance you had at winning something.
It's my favorite board game ever. And the async implementation is great. Just take your time learning it.Agricola is that good?
Downloading Breach & Clear and Futuridium
What else is GAF downloading tonight?
Yep, that was a relief haha. And only on my second run I started sliding across the screen instead of tapping, which makes killing and absorbing quite the vicious affair for the poor, doomed alpacas.Alpaca Evolution thankfully gives you double XP per alpaca on a second playthrough.
